First, let me say, our server was fabulous! Her name was April. Now the food. I ordered potato soup (soup of the day) & loaded... fries. The potato soup was barely warm and truly tasted like a can of condensed cheese soup mixed with frozen diced potatoes. It was gross. The loaded fries ended up actually being my meal. They had good flavor but were undercooked. The fries were soggyand several still had crunchy centers. My husband ordered fried chicken & a loaded baked potato. His chicken was flavorless(barely palatable only because he covered it in white gravy) and the potato had only butter. Not loaded. By the time sour creamarrived he was almost done. We aren't send the food back or complain kind of customers, we make the best of it. We won't beback though. Read more
This was a nice little breakfast spot in the heart of Bardstown. There seems to be a considerable labor shortage in this little... town due to the explosion of the bourbon industry over the last few years. However, service here was efficient, timely andfriendly. The menu is small, but hits the breakfast favorites. The biscuits and gravy were good, as was the homefries. Goearly and enjoy some down-home cooking! Read more
Let?s start off by saying this was my birthday dinner. Arrived at 4:30, left at 7:04. Food took forever. One meal was missed... (Nachos) and one side (sweet potato fries) was missed. Nachos arrived as everyone else was done. My wife took it To go. Someoneelse?s entree was given to our table and we were told to keep it - that was delicious and made up for the other misseditems. At the end of my meal, I had to take my ceremonious number 2 ;) and upon finishing my pants were soaked from the liquidsubstance on the floor (not from me). I left and notified a waitress at which point she asked me three times why my pants wereon the floor? I literally had to spell it out for her after the third time she had asked me ? let?s just say I?m sure everycustomer in our area knew what I had been doing in the bathroom. My attempt at being discrete was bamboozled by her questioning.I apologized to the section and due to my disgust, couldn?t even eat my complimentary ice cream for my birthday (at least thatwas free). Even after notifying two staff - no apology or presence of management or apology from leadership. Sad Oh and it tookforever for my check while I sat in saturated shorts - so they started to dry. I had steak and grilled shrimp, steamed veggies and baked sweet potatoes. They were all good and tasty.
Thank you to Tabitha and Kimberly for making our two visits there this week very enjoyable. We had a lot more food than the... fried pickles (delicious) pictured here, but we were too excited to take pics once it arrived. We enjoyed burgers, salads andthen went back the next night for carryout ribs and dessert. Even had a nice glass of Pinot Grigio while waiting for our food.They also served rolls with every meal and peanuts to snack on wile waiting for the meal. In a town where a lot of restaurantswere closed for the day or opening too late for us, it was a pleasure to find this one open and staffed with really nice people. Read more
This place is wonderful. It has a Western/Cowboy theme (plus a random moose) and the food portions are HUGE! The steak and... shrimp was delicious and the staff are great people. But the highlight of our visit was our server, Ashley. She MEMORIZED ourorder (4 people) and when it came back, it was perfect.
