The food was served over cooked and barely warm. The others patrons complained of sitting for 20 mins and not being greeted or... brought water. We asked twice for silverware, didn't get refills and were given rags to clean the floor when a drink wasknocked over. We also looked at a spill in the floor nearby the entire time we were there. Also, dirty dishes were not takenaway from our party of 10 until we asked. We were there as a family to celebrate a promotion for my daughter and the wholeexperience was stressful and unsatisfactory. My husband and I ordered the fried chicken and it was brought out correctly and wefinally got to eat after every other member of our group was finished eating. We were very disappointed. Never will I go on a weekend. Arrived at 12 30pm. No silverware when food came took 5 minutes to get silverware. My eggs... were cooked wrong did not send back because our guest would have had to wait until I finished. I love cracker barrel but onthis day the food and service was awful. Read more

After waiting 20 minutes for them to clean the table off ((only one in line)) we finally got seated. After being seated we have... to wait additional 20 more minutes for a waiter to show up to get our drinks after an 1 hour and 22 minutes we finally got ourentrees and was charged for complimentary biscuits ((didn't know the biscuits weren't free anymore)) as well we didn't know wehad a one drink limit on tea and sprite. We arrived as a party of four at 9 AM, and we were seated at 9:20. They had plenty of tables open, so they were probably were... short on servers. Our server was pleasant, but our food didn't come out until 10:15. Were had a time commitment and had to leaveby 10:30, so we ate rather quickly. Luckily, the food was as good as expected, the same taste we were anticipating, and therewere not surprises. Perhaps they were short on kitchen staff as well. Read more

Our waitress was AMAZING (5 Stars for her) but other than that we were very disappointed in our visit last Thursday evening... around 7:30pm. There were 3 young people at the hostess stand chatting it up. We were seated at a table that needed to be wipeddown and the hostess just placed our menus down and walked away, so we moved ourselves to a clean table. I noticed immediatelythat there were many tables with dishes on them well it wasn't long before I realized these poor waitresses were having to notonly take orders, serve food but bus the tables as well! I was so annoyed that there were 3 people standing at the hostess deskwith barely any traffic just talking and laughing and these waitresses were having to do everything! I understand everyone isunderstaffed but when I as a customer see people just standing around while these other people are doing all the work I find itvery frustrating. She was so nice, very apologetic for the fact that the kitchen was slow (food came out and mine was lukewarmbut I did not say anything to her because I felt bad and it wasn't her fault) and she did not ignore or forget about us eventhough she was SO BUSY! The food was good but the service was awful. Server wanted the order before taking a drink order, came back every 2 minutes... asking if anything else wanted and can I clear some plates before the food was there for 2 minutes, nevervrefilled coffeedespite requests, and when the check was left within 5 minutes ofvthe food arriving, it was clear the server wanted a tip fastand big but did not enjoy waiting tables. Never saw a manager in the dining room. So, 5 stars for food, 1 star for service, 3stars avg., 10% tip and I know where Brooks is. Read more

Cracker Barrel never disappoints in the food department!! This maple bacon chicken is to die for!!! I hope its not a seasonal... menu item & they keep it!! And the biscuits of course are probably my favorite along with some coca cola cake???? Read more
