As many Mexican restaurants as I frequent it becomes difficult to single one out as the best or worst. La Herradura is an... exception in the sense that it is memorable for many reasons. first they have a menu with a wide variety of meals to choosefrom and the service was quick and friendly even considering how busy they were. Secondly was how quickly we were seated stillconsidering the capacity of other customers. I highly recommend La Herradura if you're looking for great Mexican cuisine withtons of options. Read more
We went here on a Sunday afternoon to get lunch. The staff was super friendly. The portions were enormous. I ordered a couple... of a la cart items which were so big, that I couldn?t even eat them both. My mother?s burrito was about 3 meals. The food wasdelicious! This will be our ?go to? Mostly just Really good food. We had the family grill dinner, 5 types of meat! Enough that the two of us brought enough home to... feed teenagers. Lol. Great southern sweet tea. Cool decor, huge booths. The steak and fish were awesome. The waitress was dry,but kept our glasses full and checked regularly, tended to cater to the men until bill pay time. Also the salsa mostly tomatobased puree, very acidy and just no flavor other than tomatoes. If you are a salsa junkie, you will be let down. Cheese dippowdery tasting, not thoroughly melted. But other than their dips, this place had top notch food I would put against any othersimilar restaurant. The meal itself, and decor and tea, 5 stars. The condiments/dips, the waitstaff, not so much. First time here. I was very impressed with the service. From the host to the manager everyone seemed to be on their A game. Nice... selection of traditional and Americanized dishes. Price points are reasonable. The staff was diligent about sanitizing thetables, Than you! I would eat here again next time I travel through Bardstown. Read more
The best Mexican food I've ever had at a restaurant! Margaritas were also delicious! They have a huge bourbon and tequila... selection. The staff are very friendly. We sat at the bar and that's where all of the action takes place. My only recommendationwould be to have a couple designated bartenders behind the bar making the drinks. Every server is responsible for making theirown drinks and they're running around like crazy. I think by having a few bartenders it will help everyone work more efficientlyand the drinks consistent across the board. Install a few pos systems outside of the bar area for the servers. Read more
