Their Wednesday night music in the barn event was fun. Nice ambiance and decent local music. The barely average pub grub and... adult beverages are expensive. The total tab was $200. for 2. A bit overpriced shall we say. There are numerous other localquality dining options featuring live music in the area. Thanks for the experience, but we won?t be back. Read more

We have a new favorite restaurant! We've been searching for awhile. We've enjoyed very good dinners recently, but this surpassed... them all. Most importantly, the food here is delicious and beautifully prepared. And the setting and service were equallyoutstanding. Last summer we attended a wedding at the inn. The setting and food were great then, as well. And we just learnedthat they have live music on Wednesday nights. All in all, the Barnard Inn Restaurant is simply fantastic. We will be backsoon! Excellent dining experience at Barnard Inn! The menu was creative and exciting with plenty of variation to meet all tastes and... preferences. All three of my courses were absolutely delicious and I had two cocktails that were equally tasty. The servicehere is next level- friendly, personable, and prompt. Our server was great about answering me and my partner?s questions andtook genuine care in helping us select items we?d enjoy most. Our glasses were never empty and our server, as well as severalother employees, checked in consistently to ensure that we were having an excellent experience. I wish I lived closer so Icould visit over and over again! Definitely recommend treating yourself to a dinner here if you?re in the area. Read more

Fantastic experience overall. The hospitality was on par with higher end restaurants and the meals were outstanding. The... portions were just right so you could easily enjoy a three course meal and not feel bad about eating too much. Great selectionof drinks and great ingredients. Read more

Amazing, delicious experience! Barnard Inn Restaurant is the most cozy, quintessential fine dining experience in Vermont and the... Upper Valley. If you?re not going for that, their tavern - whether in the barn, perennial gardens, or in the actual tavern - issuch a delightful experience. Love the live music too! Anyway you have it, the food is scrumptious, drinks divine, and theservice friendly & fun. Highly recommended, whether you?re a local or tourist. Read more

Dining at the Barnard Inn tonight and will never go back to the dining room. We've eaten at the tavern many times and have... always been pleased. First, we were charged $30 to book a reservation online (we're waiting to see if this is credited back). In the event of a cancellation, a $25 per person fee is charged. Our meal tonight cost us over $420 for four people. The menuis a $65 fixed price menu, which is overpriced for the quality of the food. One of our entrees (duck breast) was barely warm;another entree of gnocchi with some shredded chicken was not worth the price and should not be on a $65 fixed price menu. Totop it off, a 22% gratuity was added to our bill, plus a 3% credit card fee, both of which are unheard of for a "fine dining"restaurant. All of these charges resulted in a very unpleasant ending to our meal. Beware before booking here! Read more
