I grew up just outside of Downer. Memories as a kid we would stop in for a bite to eat on our way to the lakes. The Mainline in... Downer, MN offers great customer service. There employees are so nice and welcoming that you the customer are always taken careof. Waiting isn't an option there's always someone there to greet you, the bartenders are a blast as well! Lots of laughs andgood conversation to the friendly environment with a low key chill vibe giving a relaxing and solid feeling when a new customerwalks in they can actually enjoy themselves while feeling like they been coming for years. You can never go wrong by stopping in at the Mainline. Small Town bar with small town service. That being said, the staff is... incredibly friendly. You'll feel like a regular on your first visit. Bobbie will take great care of you. My family and Ifrequent this place and for good reason. The only thing that can outshine the service is the food. Always hot, always delicious,and always what the doctor ordered. "The MacGyver" is a beast that demands to be devoured. It's huge, weighing in at 10oz andslathered in a delicious sauce. Not sure what it is, but it really makes the burger. It's served up on grilled Texas toast andglued together with ooey gooey cheese. Paired up with a side of their signature fries, it's an unstoppable duo. Only thingmissing is an ice cold beer to compliment your feast! The town is Downer, but this place isn't! Didn?t want the hassle of busy Fargo so I pulled up google maps and found this place instead. Was NOT disappointed. From the... extremely friendly bartenders to the AMAZING chefs in the back, this is the place you NEED to try! We did the Deluxe Santa Fepizza and for two people, we left so beyond full. There was also a wedding reception taking place and everyone was so welltaken care of, even with the hustle and bustle. I definitely will be returning and with my appetite too!
