Atmosphere and food was exquisite. Had what was probably the best fettuccini I've ever tasted, perfect blend of cream and... sausage that made me want more after I finished. Dessert was sponge toffee with butterscotch and cream. Kept in mind that themenu changes so don't go by the menus that people post. I didn't find a coat rack which made my bulky jacket difficult tomanage. We spent ~$300 for 4 people which included drinks, apps, dinner, and dessert Read more

Good food overall but the value wasn't there. Our steak was very undercooked which I don't mind so much, but my wife could only... eat the outer more cooked areas. We didn't bother mentioning this as it seemed it would be an inconvenience. Pricing as in mostplaces is dramatically increasing due to #JustinFlation. The side of veg was so small it was almost negligible. I'm glad weordered an appetizer. The scallops were cooked well and delicious. We had a bottle of wine which drove up our costs so one caneat more cheaply there without that. The noise level has always been a problem at that location and makes for difficultycommunicating while having a nice dinner. Not sure what they can do about that. Perhaps some nice acoustic noise baffles in theceiling would go a long way. Had the steak been properly cooked I would have upped this to a 4 ???? so perhaps it is my faultfor not mentioning, but didn't want to wait the extra time for another. Read more

I must say! This is a fresh taste to Barrie. Hearing about this place through friends and all the raves. I can agree with it... all. Walking into this wonderful place, you instantly feel like your in a different space in downtown Barrie. The atmosphere iscalm and fun. The menu is not big BUT the chef knows what they are doing. Fair price point for the quality of food you aregetting. From App to Main to Desert, You will enjoy every point of this dinner. Friendly staff, great service and good food. Youcant go wrong with this venue. I highly recommend trying this place out more then once. Menu is always changing which is a greatthing in my opinion. Well done to the people who created this! I've had the pleasure of having three separate dining experiences at Bayside Variety and every time they knock it out of the... park. I've gone in for dinner, had a private tasting, as well as hosted a 70+ person event at the restaurant and they did anincredible job each and every time. The staff are amazing (shout out to Jeremy), and co-owner Neil, and Chef Sara are bothincredible. If you are in the area, Bayside Variety is THE option for dinner and if you are considering any sort of event largeor small I'd highly recommend them. Read more

Had an amazing meal at this upscale restaurant on the Barrie warerfront. We went out for a romantic dinner, and Bayside did not... disapoint. The service team was incredibly friendly. The food was well timed and we cooked and presented to perfection. Wehad the Buratta, Brussel Sprouts to start, with Duck Confit and the Artic Char dish as our mains. I also recommend theirchocolate dessert. Chocolate and caramel heaven. Main plates ranged from $26-$46. Also liked that their coffee menu was notoverpriced. Had an Americano for under $3. The decor was very chic, with artwork throughout, and contribted to a great ambianceand vibe. Recommend sitting by the window to have a view of the water. Although in the summer, they seem to have room for asmall patio. Experience was capped of by a rose given to wife on Valentine's day. #repeatvisitor Read more
