I had the curry chicken with rice and Naan. I've been on the toilet all night I love Indian food but it has to be... super... fresh or I'll have the worst night possible... I'm sorry you have it wrong I eat the hottest foods at home or I use scotchbonnet peppers ????I make my own hot sauce and the reason I asked for hotter that time was because it wasn't hot last time. Theburps were like sulfur meaning to my system it's passed due for I eat phaal curry the hottest at many places and have never hada problem ,I had to go on a liquid diet for 3 days to flush my intestinal track. Ever since i moved to innisfil i was thinking we won't be able to find that indian food here but when i found Taj Bistro i was... surprised. Awesome food with different spice levels. There is just one drawback of the naans. In a few recent takeouts, we got the naans... which were rubbery, even when they were still hot. This didn't used to happen before. They could bring some changes in it. Read more
Very pleasing staff, and authentic taste in their food. The spice flavour is very rare to find. Best cultural restaurant found... so far in Barrie. Recommend for those who are looking for vegetarian Indian food. They don't have sitting available at this time(online does mention about sitting and patio). So it's only take out. Portions are nice sized. Their smallest curry container isgood enough for 2 persons. Many options for flat breads. Masala naan would be my favourite among all. Definitely a place to berecommended for someone new in this area or looking to try again some nice filling food which tastes good as well. Read more
Taste is good, but quantity is very less and not consistent. We order large paneer tikka masala twice and first time we had full... container and second time we got half container. So I would suggest just check before pick up. Read more
2022 May: 5/5 - AMAZING INDIAN FOOD! Had just the lamb kebabs as was the first time trying the place. First reaction was, WOW,... absolutely amazing with a TON of flavour. The onions that came with it were delicious and did not taste like North Americanonions (which I loath). The sauce was nice as it helped most of those in our party who could not take the heat of thekebabs. One thing that should be noted is that the kebabs are SPICY! I love spice so for me they were so flavourful but oneperson in our party who is not the biggest fan of spice found her mouth on fire and could not finish her kebabs (which was greatfor me as I got more lamb kebabs). :) Last point, they really should put their delivery in aluminum foil as it was not hotwhen it arrived...was between warm and hot but still would have been nicer if it was pipping hot...the food overall though wasso delicious so just a minor concern! Food is tasty but the value is terrible. This is a ?medium? and there are 4 pieces of butter chicken. We paid $50 for tonight?s... meal. We just moved here from the city and can?t believe they are getting away with these prices when $60 used to feed 2 peoplewith leftovers.
