** Full Disclosure.....I'm a Pad Thai addict ** I have traveled all over the US and Canada eating Pad Thai. I had high hopes... for this place but was so disappointed. The young man attending to my needs did a fine job. The crispy veg spring roll fellshort, having really no veg and really only glass noodles, as you can see in the pic. Now for the main "Pad Thai" it wasflavorless and very oily. In all the years of eating Pad Thai it's never been this greasey. Also I asked for medium heat but itwas so overwhelmingly hot it kept making me caught, and I consider myself to have decent spice tolerance. Finally the atmospherewas warm and welcoming and they had good water. Maybe the other dishes are fine so definitely worth a try. Oh and I wanted tobe honest and up front so everything I said here I passed on to my server AFTER receiving the bill so they didn't think i wastrying to get a discount/free meal, but they insisted on comping the dish, so at least there's that. Pleasantly surprised! The place looks nice and clean. The portions are HUGE. The prices can't be beat, especially nowadays.... Service was great and quick. Our waitress was super sweet. The food tasted fresh and absolutely delicious. 100% wouldrecommend. Read more
Wanted to order 2 appetizers on a Friday before 6pm, neither were available. Had Tom Yum Shrimp soup, it was not authentic at... all, the appearance, ingredients and tastes were very disappointing. It had no heat, no tomatoes, no sweetness. It was a saltyand sour soup. A small soup for $6.99 is insane, I would be ok if it was good, but it was horrible! Thai Bamboo is really good, I've never had an issue from here. Their Pad Thai is delicious! Their fresh spring rolls with crab... is so, so good. When you get takeout from here, they aren't stingy - you're getting a packed container filled to the top of thelid with food. Value for money and quality is unparalleled! Ordered UberEats from here a couple days ago. I called the restaurant ahead of time to ask if their dishes could be made vegan.... The young lady on the phone was very pleasant and helpful, and wrote down my questions so that she could go and ask the kitchenstaff for me. Luckily she said all the dishes I asked about can be made vegan. I ended up ordering the veggie spring rolls,green curry with tofu, and vegetable fried rice. I hate to say it but the only dish I enjoyed and that was actually tasty wasthe green curry with tofu. The veg spring rolls were packed with glass noodles and very little bits of mushroom and carrot, andwas completely flavourless. The vegetable fried rice was kind of sad looking and colourless. I don?t even think any soy saucewas added? which is kind of crucial to a fried rice, no? It was flavourless as well, lacking any salt and pepper even. The greencurry with tofu was actually nice to my surprise, and was flavourful with a nice balance of sweetness from the coconut milk andsome light spice. The spice could be more but I understand not everyone is used to spice, maybe the restaurant could offerdifferent spice levels for dishes for their customers. Very disappointed this time. Green curry is watered down -- no flavour at all. Vegetables - some over cooked and some... undercooked. Pad Thai overcooked and noodles were "broken" into small pieces. Again, no flavour. Had pad Thai last week andwas much better. Not sure if I'll ever go back after today's experience. Read more
The quality of a frozen entree, not a restaurant. First, the Pad Thai was missing all the vegetables (except the bean sprouts)... and peanuts and had absolutely no flavor. Second, we paid extra for sticky rice and got under cooked Basmati? And, third, theGarlic Vegetables were more of bad soup with minced garlic from a jar.
