It's obvious to me that the emphasis is all about saving money. I've been coming here for almost 20 years and have also... frequented the Lincolnshire and Hinsdale locations. I have to say, I was immensley disappointed with my last visit to theBarrington location this week. It was a business meeting and I order a fresh fruit cup and english muffin. I received oneorange slice, 8 blueberries, 3 tiny red grapes, two 1 inch square pieces of cantalope and 1 two inch long x 1/2 inch honeydewmelon and two 1/4 slices of strawberries. The preserves were only enough to hardly cover 1/2 of 1/2 muffin and I am alwayssparing. No one offered to refill my ice tea or my colleages coffee. Actually , the server never acknowledge at me at anytime. We were there 40 minutes and she came back 3 times to remove our plates when we clearly were not done (with our hugeportions). Although in fairness she probably thought we were done at the beginning of the service since there was hardleyanything on our plates. There were other tables available. I hope the new manager/owner is pleased with themselves about howmuch money they are saving by serving a ridiculously small amount of food. I will be so happy to accomodate that person by notcoming back and having them have to serve food. They can save it in the kitchen. Read more
walked in for breakfast 8/11/22 around 8:30a. About 15 people in restaurant total. Waited and waited after being seated for a... server. Had to go to front desk to ask someone be sent to table. Just unacceptable service. BTW , they need to clean the coffeepots better. Filthy. Read more
This is one of my favorite breakfast places. On my most recent visit, I ordered the ultimate skillet and one of their current... specials, lemon ricotta french toast. The skillet was delicious and the English muffin and house made jam that it comes withequally scrumptious. Truly, I wish I could have that muffin and jam every morning. The french toast was pretty good but I kindathought it would be better than it was. Service is great and I recommend you join the online wait-list before you reach therestaurant because there is ALWAYS a wait since it is a well loved place. After many years of driving past when they were closed after 2 PM, we decided to wake up early and try it out. Both of our... breakfasts were packed with so much flavor. I got the Barrington Eggs Benedict and my partner got the Aztec Omelette. Wedevoured our food in a matter of minutes. Nothing else was needed to add to the dish, it was delicious as is. Their famousstrawberry orange juice was also delectable as it had pieces of strawberries mixed in. The service was great and fast. We are soglad that we decided to finally go! Read more
