We arrived around 4:30 and sat at the lovely patio area. We had been there last fall and were very impressed with the food and... atmosphere. This time was very different. My husbands wings were hard, not crispy and tasted freezer burnt. My chicken Parmesancame with a load of spaghetti and a chicken patty that looked like it came from a box. It was covered with way too much groundbeef meat sauce and extremely greasy! Seemed like they put left over spaghetti sauce over the patty! My grandson wanted the?allday breakfast? which wasn?t on the menu. We were told that if he wanted to order eggs they would look terrible and taste badbecause the grill had been used for other meats and menu items all day and it?s would take 20 min to clean. Waitress recommendednot ordering from the ?all day breakfast menu?! So he ordered chicken tenders and fries, no gravy. The order came with gravy andthe fries were way over done looking like they came from left overs in the bottom of the basket. We we?re very very disappointedand will not return. Read more
Our second time visiting; first time under new ownership. Menu is extensive and the food was very good. I recommend the butter... chicken (home made). Service was friendly and attentive. Our room was clean and comfortable. This is a great home base formotorcycle day trips. We plan to return. Read more
I truly recommend this motel for anyone who decides to travel in the area. Firstly, the food was amazing. Great roast beef... dinner on Saturday night, trust me go hungry. The portions are very generous. If you like Indian food, this is the place. Youmust try it. Also, the BURGERS, you will love them, real home made burgers, no frozen stuff. Lastly the rooms are good and theview is outstanding, across the street from a lake. The staff are all great and the owner takes part in every aspect of theoperation. Keep up the good work. Read more
This is a great little spot in a small town. They have a great patio overlooking the water with lots of space for people to eat.... From operation there?s even a small area across the road that they will serve you dinner on the water. The staff is very niceand polite and the food is good. I went with a crew after filming a documentary in town and we were quite hungry and had a lotof different things. All of which were very filling and price right! Went here for breakfast and it was definitely small town vibes. Felt very homey and has a good view of the water. Menu has... traditional Canadian breakfast options at a low price. The coffee is drip and it's pretty good. Staff were friendly and know thearea of you have any questions if you're a tourist. The mornings are pretty cool so we sat inside, but I'm sure if you wantedto you could ask and sit outside. Read more
We had a group of 8 ATV?ers and they were able to accommodate. Our server was awesome, food was fantastic. Many of my friends... enjoyed their plates. Wednesday was wing night and the forty creek sauce is awesome. We are looking to come back before thetrip is over??UPDATE, we came back all 3 nights and Ash Grove did not disappoint. Had dinner here a week ago, four of us. Recent owners make some Indian meals, in addition to the usual Canadian stuff. All was... fine except the Montreal smoked meat sandwich: toast was burned. Not much meet and it was grilled. I often get this at otherrestaurants where it's much better. Great view of the lake from the patio plus indoor seating. Read more
