Old-school beer joint with great food! Outside the city limits, the Lake House allows smoking, and has eight-liner machines -... old school. Handful of beers on tap. But for us the food was the draw. Heard it was good, and it is. We had the catfish - abasket and a po-boy. Catfish was perfectly crisp, onion rings were epic, hush puppies were perfect too. Po-boy roll was justright, not too soft, definitely fresh. Almost everyone in the place, mostly regulars, ordered food, so they know what's what. Ifthe smoking thing is a hard no, wait until it cools off and hang out on the covered patio. Worth it for some excellent 'beerjoint' food! Read more
If you're looking for a cool place to hang out at by Lake Bastrop this is it! The food is amazing You can tell that they take... their time with their menu. Very good live music all the time. Definitely recommend this place. Read more
