Today was the worst experience I've had as a Retired Army Combat Veteran. The bartender who was wearing the "I Love Football"... T-shirt ignored me as I was sat at the bar for 7 minutes. A white couple shortly came in, sat next to me. She finally walk overand asked if anyone helped me. I responded back, no ma'am. I told her i would like a Michelob Ultra and a menu. She brought backthe beer and menu. Immediately engaged the couple with a smile all cheerful. Asked them what they wanted to drink, do they needa menu. What brought them in. Explained to them the town downtown area since they were visiting. Mind you, so was I. Took thereorder got them their drinks. Came back informed the two their food was placed. Walked off to assist others around the bar. Madeher way back to me and asked if was ready to order. I politely say no and slid the menu back to her. I began to watch heractions as well as the game. It was unprofessional and sad. I wouldn't advise any veteran especially (black) to ever supportthis place due to the bartender actions, more importantly, her mindset. I feel sorry for people like her because Soldiers andother Service members look like me, fight day in and day out, even have made the ultimate sacrifice and died for freedom and tobe treated equal , with dignity and respect. I hope the management and ownership take appropriate action. I come to town quiteoften because my mother in law live in Bastrop. Read more
Unfortunately, wings were NOT jumbo, and are baked. Not even average size. Never got drink refills, but our waitress was nice.... Don’t think there’s any AC in the place, so not my fave environment for a football game. Personally, would not recommend. Read more
Best burgers in the county! Great NY steak salad too! And the French fries...to die for. Come and get some, y'all. And don't... forget desert my friends! Dreamy chocolate lava cake with ice cream, and...wait for it...the very BEST Bread Pudding you willever experience! I really enjoy this place! On Wednesday's and Friday's they have Karaoke night hosted by an amazing DJ. The staff is so much fun... and sometimes one of them will sing a song. They have a large bucket in the center of the bar filled with ice cold beers forquick access. Everyone is very nice and I highly suggest going for a good time. Read more
Didn’t have the best experience. This was our 4th time coming here and we think the place got taken over by new owners because... the food was nothing like how we remembered. Last time we couldn’t complain but we could tell the proportions were differentand I even tasted differently. I got the shrimp tacos and they are usually great but this time they were messy, soggy, had abland not good flavor, And were more spicy than usual .Idk take your chances. Why why WHY would you reserve tables at the start time of game one of the World Series for karaoke???? Why????? Seriously... whyyyyyyyyy? I waited for people to leave only to be told over and over that table was reserved now. People were standing aroundand leaving so a dude can sit there taking up spots doing nothing. I didn’t stick around to see if he actually had the nerveto sing ???????????????? Every bartender and waitress in there was unhelpful and rude except Emily. She guided me to a tablethat she thought we could sit with, was kind and patient during a crazy rush. She’s the ONLY reason I’d ever go back there.The steak and wings were good too. But good GAWD where is the Texas charm? *Edit* I tried again today. Changing stars to one.Asked if I could do chili instead of a salad and she said yes but there’s an up charge. Was charged full price for CRAZYspicy inedible chili(5$) and didn’t get a salad. That’s not an up charge, that’s a full charge. She’s new and sweet butthe manager did not fix the mistake for her.
