I was so happy to find this gem of a place. The food was excellent, service was great, and it was not too packed. I had the all... you can eat fish special. We?re driving from California to Florida with family, we saw a family restaurant sign - immediately stopped to experience... authentic Louisiana cuisine. Met Ken and his wife, who were very friendly and nice. Was a pleasure to talk with restaurant owner(Ken) who runs it for 38 years with passion. Amazing family with Christian and American values. Don't let the no frill and thrills appearance of the place keep you away. This is truly a gem. I had the catfish lunch special... plate. It was not only the best fried catfish I've ever had, it was one of the best fried fish plates I've had. The deliciousmorsels of fish were surrounded by a breading that was just the perfect thickness, seasoned just right and not greasy at all. Ialso had the potato salad and mac and cheese as sides which were both solid. The cup of seafood gumbo I had was delicious andhad the right amount of heat.
