Best corn tortillas and tacos in Baton Rouge. The tortillas are thick and fresh, not the type that has just been pulled out of a... plastic bag and reheated. Portions are very generous, the salsas are delicious, and the meat is of very good quality. The menuoffers a large variety of dishes, everything tastes great, and prices are very reasonable. This restaurant is modest and isoffers homestyle, authentic Mexican and Central American cooking, so if you are looking for a large Tex-Mex place with fakeMexican decor, air conditioning, a bar, a large frosted margarita glasses with a selection of different tequilas, sizzlingfajitas brought to your table on a cast-iron pan, and the whole Chili's-style suburban experience, this place is not where youwant to go Read more

This small place offers a variety of very tasty foods!, is one of the more authentic Mexican restaurants in town. The tacos are... a little tiny, but the plates are great in size! The service is very good too! Read more

Not the best authentic Mexican restaurant in town. Several hole in the walls on Old Hammond Hwy that are much better. This has... more of an Handuras cruising maybe? Which is okay. Read more

OH. MY. GOODNESS! Currently continuing the hunt for the greatest, most authentic taco in Baton Rouge, and we might just have a... winner. However, given the deliciousness of this quest, we don't plan on stopping lol. El Tio is a great little spot, notnecessarily in the greatest of locations. But let's be honest, the BEST food never is. I'm already looking forward to the nexttime I get to visit. Check it out, you won't be disappointed. Read more

I LOVE the tacos, I only got three and thought maybe I should have ordered more or a side of rice and beans but honestly it was... just enough. A good lunch for like 11 dollars. Not too bad! Wish I would have gotten the chips and salsa to go, too though. Iwasnt offered chips to go. Read more
