Very nice place to eat and visit. Food was excellent as was the service. Salmon on plank and spaghetti were excellent. I would... recommend reservations for dinner. We were there when it opened and when we left it was filled. Adequate parking and handicapaccessible. Also visit Harper mens clothing next door…very nice clothes and accessories. Read more

We were a party of 8 for a friends surprise birthday, and we could NOT have picked a better place! The best part about it was... that not one of us had ever been there, we went solely off of reviews and the delicious looking photos! So I’m here to tellyou if your thinking about making this your choice too, don’t walk to it RUN???? We made reservations (which they made abreeze) and From the moment we walked in it was nothing but positive/kind greeters, servers, managers, and some of the BEST foodwe had all ever had! One top recommendation from our table is the Pork Chop and the crab cakes! They were PHENOMENAL! Honestlycan’t say enough GOOD things about this place???????? Read more

Our least favorite item were the chargrilled oysters and we'd rate those a 4/5. Raw oysters are VERY fresh and incredibly well... priced. I had the filet and it came out a perfect rare. Mouth watering tender. French fries and spinach were on point too.Everything tasted very fresh with clean flavors. 5/5 for a date night. Ill be back to try a happy hour setting and a few moreapps/small plates. Read more

We went here for a birthday celebration and unfortunately it was mediocre and not worth the prices. The food was served warm... but not hot and the temperature was wrong on the filets with them being over cooked. One person ordered the ribeye and it hadmore fat that meat. Of all the food we ate in our party the best things were the bread and butter and the grits which says alot. The food was ok but the steaks especially were dissapointing for the price point especially when compared to other arearestaurants. The two martinis I had were delicious. I ordered cheesecake for dessert to go and I was very surprised to seethat it appeared to be two layers but the top layer was almost an inch of plain cream cheese which was very strange anddisappointing. The service was slow and it took a very long time to get our checks correct and paid. I personally can notrecommend this restaurant. My meal cost over $100 but the food and service would have been better at Outback or any other lowercost alternative. The ambiance was nice and we had a private room but it did not make up for the food at all. Not a singleperson in our party said they would come back or recommend to others. Edited review just add the picture I had of that sadexcuse of a cheesecake. Read more

French Market Bistro is nestled in the rear of the shopping center located off Highland Rd in Baton Rouge. We received a gift... certificate from our Realtor Mary Birch at Team Smith Realty. We decided on Saturday lunch then called for a reservation. Wewere informed that the reservation link on their website is no longer valid. Just call them for the reservation. When wearrived parking was easy to find but we were early lunch and when we left the parking lot was filling up. We were seatedimmediately and served water as soon as we were settled in. Our server was Alissa. She came along with menus and introducedherself after the water was served. We started with Bistro Crab Cakes and Duck and Shrimp Egg Rolls. The crab cakes were sodelicious, packed with crab meat, seasoned to perfection. The egg rolls were a pleasent surprise, topped with mustard andserved with a sweet & sour sauce. The flavors all went together nicely. My husband had a cup of the Crab and Bree soup. He saidone of the best creamy soups he has had. It's one of their most requested menu items. Paired with their Artisan bread and you'vegot a great starter to any meal. We both decided on Taste Of Louisiana Flash Fried Crab Cakes, Oysters, Shrimp, Catfish & Friesfor our entree. The portion was perfect the fry was crisp and season to perfection. The fries looked as though they were freshmade to order. I really enjoyed the house tartar and cocktail sauces. I spoke of my love oysters and Alissa shared someChargrilled Oysters with me and I will forever be sure to order a side of these with my meal. Best oyster I have ever had! Wedidn't have much room left but couldn't leave without trying the Bistro Cheesecake. I absolutely love cheesecake! We couldn'tdecide between strawberry and lemon but eventually went with strawberry. Let me tell you it did not disappoint, not too sweetor sour. Just the right amount of balance between all. I will be back in next week for the lemon especially sin Read more
