There was alot of hype about this place. It fell well short of my expectations. My coworkers and I sat at the bar. Half us were... provided drinks right away. Another bartender came along and eventually served all of us. I got four fried oysters to start off. They were fried hard burnt. They did not charge me for two. My meal came with in a reasonable time. The appearance and tastewas not great. It was greasy . I got the Guitreau. Salad and double baked stuffed potato. I should of checked yelp beforedining here. We were visiting Baton Rouge and staying in a local airbnb. This restaurant was very Disappointing. Menu was limited and any... small requests for changes could not be accommodated. We ask if we ordered 1 large bowl of seafood gumbo and 1 chicken gumbo ifthey could mix them together so we would have both in one because they said they couldn't add chicken and sausage to the seafoodbowl because everything comes pre packaged ??????? They DID NOT honor the request and the excuse was because they didn't have abowl big enough to mix it together. And the seafood gumbo was cold. Our server (which was great!) did offer to bring us an emptybowl so we could mix it ourselves but one bowl was still cold so it had to go back. ???? I was surprised by the poor foodbecause the restaurant was large and decor was beautiful but honestly we got better tasting food from the waffle house down thestreet. I am soooo disappointed in Mike Anderson?s, will never be back. Food was Hor Ri Bleee . Tasted like blended versions of mush ,... beer, bell peppers and grease. The salad wasn?t even a go to. Severely let down. Management needs to counsel chefs ? justhorrible????????was here in celebration of nephew?s graduation? I paid the check to not stir any trouble. Amazing food and service! We were fortunate enough to have Danielle as a server. She was the best waitress we could have asked... for. She went above and beyond to make our visit amazing. The food was very good. The stuffed potato was on point and tye brownie dessert was GOODT!!! The only thing I didn't like was... the crabmeat au gratin. Today was the Worse evening EVER!!! My husband ordered the whole catfish that was super greasy and I ordered the jumbo shrimp... platter. The first three shrimps started off decent but when I made it to the fourth shrimp it was full of batter and supergreasy. So I started pulling the other shrimp apart and they were hard and rubbery. So the manger comes over and tells me Ishouldn't have eaten so many that I haven eaten over half of them and only 7 comes on the plate and there wasn't anything thathe could do. I told him I only tried to eat 3 so that's not half. His attitude was so horrible and never once did he suggestmaking it right. His solution was not to eat if it don't look right.. Service was impeccable. The appetizer was amazing. The chargrilled oysters are the highlight wow!!! So much flavor. The house... salad was also memorable. The crawfish etouffee was not my favorite. Very clean place as well. Read more
