Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and great service. The food was fresh and well prepared. A matter of personal preference, the... red sauce is very sweet, too sweet for us. Read more

Please don't take this review as a reflection of the food or the establishment. It was good but it was just not for me. I loved... the feel of the place. I had a ceasar salad which was just about perfect, and the calamari was delicious but then I had thespaghetti with meatballs. It was my first experience with sweet spaghetti sauce. I don't eat sugar in my lifestyle at all. So,when I was confronted with it, it was so overwhelming that I couldn't eat it. I didn't say anything because it's not theirfault, I just didn't know that's what I would be getting. Side note: my fiance had a combo plate that came with a muffalettawhich was the best I've ever tasted. Read more

Delicious sauce!! Delicious meatballs!! Well seasoned and cooked. Only complaints are the fact that the kids chicken tenders... don't come with any kind of side...even if it's just noodles....also the garlic bread is a little too hard for my preference butoverall amazing atmosphere and music!!! Most authentic Italian in Baton Rouge. If it's your 1st time there, order the Twice Baked Lasagna with a Caesar Salad W/Chicken.

Unique place to go. A lot of different trinkets to look at instead of your awkward date while you wait for your food. They... offer freshly brewed sweetened and unsweetened ice tea. The sauce is S W E E T; like you can envision grandma dumping sugar bagsweet. The sauce has a beautiful red color and isn?t too runny nor too thick. The lasagna hit the spot! One of the best onesaround. Garfield the cat would be proud! The eggplant stack was also delicious. It was not greasy and had a crunch on theoutside. It was not mushy on the inside, it was cooked just right. What was great about the appetizer is that we didn?t looklike we were playing hot potato in our mouths. It was the perfect temperature. Oh and the complimentary bread was good. Read more

Great little place hidden from the rest of BR. Friday for lunch it was not busy at all. Quit atmosphere. Lived here my whole... life and just discovered it. Great service. Food was good. Free bread with marinara sauce ????. Marinara sauce was SUPER SWEET.And the same sauce was used on the lasagna, however the server tells me that you can request the tomato basil red sauce as areplacement for a more traditional Sicilian flavor. Which I plan to try next time. Homemade caesar dressing was very good. Onlything that would have been better would have been a clean table. ???? I think it was just overlooked as a simple mistake.??????? Read more

I had not been to Monjuni's in years and was very pleased with the food and service there. The baked pasta was better than the... ravioli my wife ordered we both felt. The chocolate mousse was rich and very good. I would recommend this place to anyone in themood for pasta. The food and patio area are actually quite nice and it would seem that the decor makes the restaurant feel moreinformal. They could lose the checker table cloths and plastic grapes and turn the lights down but that is only my opinion. Read more

Great atmosphere. Wasn't busy for early dinner and was quick. Very accommodating and friendly. Did not like the napoleon dinner... but the lasagna and meatball were really good. The muffalatta was better than I expected and the fries were good but a littleexpensive. The sauce is really sweet but my wife loves it. Read more
