I work in a nearby office and had a great catering experience with NYB on Jefferson. I placed a delivery order with Kat for 10... individual lunches and drinks. She was very friendly and easy to work with. Not only were the sandwiches, bagel chips, and creamcheese dips fantastic, but they even brought us a bag of ice for the drinks. This was my time time eating and ordering fromNYB, but it definitely won't be the last! I thoroughly enjoyed my smoked salmon on garlic bagel sandwich (New Yorker), and aco-worker said her roast beef sandwich (Broadway's Best) was literally the best roast beef sandwich she ever had. The restaurant has a website with a menu. When I tried to order something from that menu, the lady taking my order insisted the... website was not for their restaurant. Yet the website clearly said the Jefferson location at the top of the page. They need torevise their web page to agree with their in-store menu. Other than that, the food is great! Read more

For starters we should take the name New York out of the title. This place is not in the realm of New York. The vibe feels... depressing and as though someone just gave up and they are mid way closing for good. The bagels aren?t on display. The fridge isdark and doesn?t show cream cheese or any other kind of Deli style salads. Example - Potato - Macaroni. They don?t do breakfastafter 10:30am and they take the coffee away at 10:30am. These are BASICS of any establishment in New York. What can you get onthe bagel? One would never know since there?s no menu. Once you do get the mystery bagel from the back, it?s dry, cakey, andtasteless, unlike the crispy chewy delicious bagels of NY. The only redeeming quality is the nice staff. People who gave thisplace more than one star have been living in Baton Rouge for too long. Wouldn?t recommend! Read more

Bagels were good but a bit under baked. They are boiled so that gives them an edge. Got a dozen but they no longer give a... banker's dozen even though the menu board says so. Also all the pricing is off fro websites and earlier photos, I've tried toinclude new video and photos. Worth the trip of you long for New York style bagels in Baton Rouge. Bagel with lox wasexcellent. Not skimpy on the salmon. Enjoy. Read more

Went here on a Monday morning based on the reviews. We tried a croissant with egg, cheese, and sausage; bacon, egg, and cheese... biscuit; plain bagel with plain cream cheese; Asiago bagel with egg, ham, and cheese; and a cinnamon roll. Pros: generousportion of meat, flavorful sausage. Cons: puffy slightly bland bagels, flavorless egg, cheese that was American singles (likeMcD uses). Would not recommend. Read more

Awesome place to eat lunch. Have been going here for several years. I got the cabbie on the asiago bagle. Very good. We also got... the pizza bagle. There was nothing left, so it must have been good too. The owners are very friendly and bend over backwards tomake sure you are satisfied. Read more

I really like the taste of a real scrambled egg on my croissant. With that being said this one was not too bad. The sausage was... a tad spicy. The croissant was actually very good. Read more
