The prices are fair and the food is decent, considering everything. Louisiana is not exactly known for its barbecue, so stay... near the best barbecue in Louisiana is not exactly the highest bar. The food is still pretty good for the price. Read more
Not sure if this is for the Sherwood location or the Florida location since I visited both locations today - not by choice. So... I'll talk about both. The Sherwood location has been a hot mess for quite some time and seems to be going further downhill everytime I visit. Today I came to get some BBQ for lunch for the wife and I. It was maybe 15 till noon on this Sunday. As I rolledin towards the drive thru it looked like a couple of employees were standing by the side entrance and one was on the phoneoutside by the drive thru menu. So I get to the order area. Nothing. Waited for almost 5 minutes still nothing. Still I waitedbecause although this is a long time to wait to order at a drive thru it is not unusual for this place. Still after watchinganother car waiting behind me i decided to do the same. Probably a good 7 minutes of my life I'll never get back. I don'tunderstand how this place stays in business. On top of that I guess they can't afford to repair their menu board at the drivethru at either location so they have a printed out copy of a menu on a standard size piece of paper so you can't read it fromyour car. What you can actually read is a big sign that says orders will not be taken at the window so do not drive to thewindow, lol. What a joke. Unless I know what I'm getting already I have to pull up their menu on my phone. I would really preferto go to pretty much any other BBQ place but my wife really likes their potato salad for some reason. The Florida location atleast has better customer service although today it took 10 minutes of waiting in the drive thru menu before they took my order.I'll give them a pass for that because they at least had an excuse because you could tell they were super busy. least I got BBQfinally. All around good solid BBQ, the meat was tender and warm. The baked beans were awesome and the Mac and Cheese was top notch. So... why only four stars? Because I prefer BBQ that has more of a kick. This was good solid ?Q?, I just prefer it spicier. Read more
Of the 2 locations in Baton Rouge, this is definitely the one less likely to put you in the hospital from a food-borne illness... IMO. Dining room never seems to be open when I go. The baked beans is the only reason I keep throwing money at them. So muchpotential unrealized. Read more
