Delicious! Located in Perkins Rowe, the surrounding parking is ample. They have an awesome happy hour with half off starters and... reasonably priced cocktails. The atmosphere was really nice, our waiter was awesome and very helpful. I had the Chargrilled Oysters as an appetizer and... Salmon with garlic potatoes and grilled shrimp as a dish. Both were delicious. I also sampled a little of their Crab Cake Maisonand it was also very good. I would definitely return to try other menu items. Read more

I really enjoyed myself. The place was packed so I suggest making reservations if you decide to try them out. The dinner was... really good, I wanted to try something a little different and I got the PERI PERI QUAIL. I was not disappointed I woulddefinitely order it again. The flavors were rich with a hint of spice and the meal was very filling. For dessert I got the breadpudding, which was delicious, and I’m normally not a huge fan of the dish. So I know we’re to go if I want a good dessert aswell. If your looking to try something different and not step too far out of your comfort zone I recommend going to ROUJ. Read more
Where have I been that I never noticed this place? This place was everything for a bday experience. My waitress Tori was... SUPER!!! She took her time and explained the menu and she stayed on top of everything. When my bf got the Chicken Monticelloit was very salty, My bf is the type of person that does not like to send food back, But the salt was very overpowering. Ourwaitress took the food back and within minutes the manager came and apologized for the kitchen and explained that they weregoing to prepare a fresh one for us. When I tell you everything was Re-prepared and the food was cooked to perfection. Themanager stood by to make sure everything was great. Even though the food originally was salty it was the experience and how theymade it right then made this evening amazing. We are here from Tampa, Florida area. Looking for area Cajun cuisine and we were not disappointed. Tori our server was very... kind and knowledgeable. We only did appetizers and soup, we've been so full from every where else. The place was super loud andenvironment set for polar bears, my only complaint. Emma was our server and she gave extraordinary service tonight!! ???????? She interacted with us by asking if we were... celebrating something special. I responded by saying, yes, I am celebrating my career move and embracing a new relationship. SoI chose Rouj Creole to kick off new beginnings!! Thanks for the kind words and the advice on the (long distance thing)???? Emmawas very pleasant, and had profound knowledge about the menu (I'm pescatarian), so she was attentive to my specific foodselections. The crab cakes were delectable and mouth watering! The Moules Frites plating and presentation was outstanding andappetizing for sure... yummy ???? My friend enjoyed the Seafood Lasagna so much that after each bite, he commented about howdelicious and tasteful the dish was! I had the Potato Gnocchi with a side of Garlic Mashed Potatoes and everything wasscrumptious and the hint of sweet taste to the tomato sauce was genius! Nice experience at Rouj! Our waiter, A**y, was great. Restaurant was clean throughout. There's instrumental up-to-date music... playing in the background. Prices aren't too bad for what you get. We went for lunch and also caught the all day on Fridayshappy hour but that does not include the entire bar. So we tried an appetizer ("social"), entree, and dessert. Starting with theEggplant + Crawfish.....good dish that needed salt desperately. There's none on the table and we chose not to ask for any. Itjust tasted good anyway. If there's a next time I would definitely ask for salt though. Next were the Sweet Tea Chicken andCreole Seafood Roll sandwiches. The chicken breast is huge and cooked perfectly. You can sense the sweet tea brine. Our onlygripe was the bread. The sandwich needs a softer bun that you can sink your teeth into and not a hard french bread type ofbread. Every sandwich mentions brioche except this one and obviously the po-boy or roll. Speaking of the roll.....oh boy!Imagine maybe etouffe poured into a bread bowl. Similar but into a top sliced hoagie french bread roll (lol!). Soooooo good!!!!It gets messy but I didn't care! You have to try it. Both sandwiches came with shoestring fries. I particularly don't like thatstyle but would eat Rouj's all day. Perfectly crispy and seasoned well. The fries were good plain or with ketchup. Now, finally,the dessert.....sugar cane spice cake. Wasn't worth the $10 today. The drizzle was fine but the cake was dense, not too moist,maybe overworked and/or overbaked. The flavor wasn't bad, so it is unfortunate. I recommend Rouj Creole!
