This Cafe is very austere and very simple. This is not a bad thing. What you see is what you get, and the many times that's... refreshing especially with how sometimes many restaurants around us can vie for being over the top more than they buy forauthenticity. This place stays true to the environment that it's in, while maintaining a very communal feel. My only realcomplaint is that the salads are typically chopped to find to be comfortably eaten with a fork. Also, while the staff areincredibly polite and understanding, it does feel like they sometimes take a little too long to take your order. Read more
It's good, BUT It's also never open... I asked the person working there today when they close. She was nice and told me it... depended on business, but ironically that's probably the main reason the place doesn't get business. No one knows when it willbe open so they don't plan on eating there or even checking!!! They need to establish a track record of being open when theyare supposed to (and this takes time- about a year) so that people can associate going to the library with getting something toeat instead of having to walk across to find it closed most of the time. I don't know why they don't do that. It seems prettycommon sense to me- maybe it's the contract they have w/ the government or something ????. Also, they really should make iteasier for custmers by being open whenever the library is open. Maybe closing half/an hour (consistently) before the librarycloses is reasonable. Sure, in the morning there might not be many people, but again, that association is important. Read more

Never open? not even in the morning, no one answers the phone. Don?t waste your time.
Overpriced and the staff didn?t want us to eat inside even though they had over an hour left before closing!
Has limited hours right now because of staffing and COVID. We had the croissants and a smoothie and coffee. Nice place to chill... outside the Library and the botanical garden. Read more

The location is wonderful. it's quiet, bright and full of sun. I got a small coffee (community coffee). It was $2.14 with tax.... Service was fine, though definitely not what I would call gracious. I left a $1 tip on a $2 coffee and not a word was uttered. Read more
