Service was decent. It was very crowded because it was Veteran's day and veterans got a free meal. I felt the choices were a bit... limited for the free meal. I got the 5 oz sirloin steak and mashed potatoes. It was pretty good. My daughter had a kids mealwith pizza. Read more

Had a great dining experience tonight. The host welcomed us with a smile, greeted and sat us, then let us know her name in case... we needed anything. I wish I could remember it! She was so nice. Our server, Austin, was very polite and attentive but did nothover. The food was great. Everyone left full and happy! The steak was messed up 3 times and still was never made right. We wanted medium well and we got a well done steak. When we... asked them to fix it they gave us a rare steak. And lastly they took that steak to try and fix it and gave us an unevenly cookedsteak. We also ordered a classic bacon cheese burger and they gave us a whiskey bacon cheese burger. I had stopped by for a quick drink and bite to eat for happy hour, I had no problem being seated, since the place was nearly... empty. As I waited, I noticed that the servers were in the door way to the kitchen talking and having fun and messing around. Iwaited and tried to catch the eyes of the young ladies laughing, but was ignored, I was even glanced at by one of the girls midconversation and she gave me a not o welcoming expression of annoyance. I simply got up and quietly walked out after no one evengave me a cup of water. thank fully they took my order at buffalo wild wings across the way much faster and I did not wait longfor their happy hour and food. We just left the Battle Creek Applebee's location after an absolutely horrible meal. My steak was ordered medium rare, came out... medium well and tasted like liver. My girlfriend's steak was ordered medium, and came out looking like a piece of shoe leather.I honestly can't believe it was brought out of the kitchen looking like that. My son had chicken strips with fries and greenbeans. He ate his green beans and fries, but only half of a chicken strip considering they were burnt and dried out. Ourwaitress eventually brought out a new steak for my girlfriend, about 20 minutes later. We were ready to go at that point so wethrew it in a box. Never saw a manager, and got a whooping 10% discount which totalled $2.90. It was very difficult to pay $50for such a truly disgusting meal.
