My wife and I were pretty bummed when this place was rumored to be permanently closed according to the listing on Google a few... months back. When she heard that they had opened back up we were both excited to try our old favorites yet again. We got takeout because: Covid. The wife got her usual which is the Slim Jim basket. When I arrived to pick up the order the associate askedthe cook for the fries to complete the order and she quickly jammed this half empty pack of "French Fries" into the bag andstapled it shut so I couldn't check my order before I left. What I brought home to my wife was an abomination. The sandwichlooked like either someone sat on it or had already been eaten. There was as much outside the bun as inside and that bun wasWET. The tomatoes were hard, white and unripe. Inedible. The fries filled less than half the container and they were soft,floppy, cold, wet and oily. Gross. Considering the prices of takeout food nowadays you would expect more than thismess. 10/27/22: Tried again after staying away for awhile. Got my order wrong and had a bit of an attitude about it. The good: Breakfast buffet food is pretty good The bad: - Mens bathroom smells terrible - Bathroom is really dirty -... Establishment is extremely outdated - Seats are broke down - They served us expired milk (which put me on edge for everythingelse myself and my family ate) I wish Battle Creek had better food choices. I want this place to be good so bad but yet anothercompany fails to perform even with a decently constant business flow. Read more
Staff was very friendly. I ordered the patty melt and it was perfect! Just the right buttery crunch to the rye bread and the... cheeses were a good blend. Sweet flavor to the grilled onions. No complaints! Husband enjoyed a big hamburger Read more
I really wanted to give them 5 stars. All you can eat breakfast buffet was not what I expected. The eggs were liquid brand eggs... but had a sponge quality. The French toast was dry and the buffet table was not clean. The people who ordered from the menu,seem to have a better quality of food. Our waitress is the only reason I rated them so high. She was super busy but very kindand smiled Everytime we saw her. She noticeably overwhelmed as it seems they are working with a low staff. There was only onewoman working on checking people out and seating them so the wait was kind of long. The atmosphere seemed cozy and lots of happyfaces. I noticed people really focused on the biscuits and gravy. I feel the eggs needed to be actual eggs and not liquid from acontainer. I probably won't be back but I appreciated it for what it was. Service was great- everyone was friendly. The restaurant itself was dingy and dirty...I got the salad bar at 11 a.m. and... everything was old and wilted or soggy. The broccoli had mold on it. The sesame seeds tasted like soap, the cottage cheese wasliquidy. I ended up paying $12.99 to not eat...everything I tried to eat from it was poor quality or off-tasting. My kids gotspaghetti, and it was fine for them, but the sauce had burned bits in it...so likely stewed on the stove all day, then scrapedup to sauce their noodles. Not good. Read more
