Locally owned. Great location. Great staff that are very friendly and helpful. The food was also good. The cabin was clean and... was perfect for our group of 4. Saturday night fishfry - awesome food. Good job folks!

Newly remodeled cabins right in the river with a nice view and quick access to the lake for both, charter and personal boats.... Water was covering dock but they recently moved the fish cleaning house up hill and it was new and nicely done. Onlyopportunity to improve, or something to remember, is they provide dish soap, but not hand soap (or any toiletries) in bathroom.Otherwise it's always a great time and the walleye fishing is awesome! You can catch sturgeon right off the dock at night andthe Saturday night fishfry is delicious! Read more

Although we didn?t stay at rivers bend resort, we stayed just up the road and walked with our baby and stroller to rivers bend... for appetizers and drinks. Both food and beverages were amazing and our server was prompt and eager to help us. We arrived on a Friday with lots of snow, we were told they would have the roads open a little late on Saturday, indeed they... were late (Not there fault weather) we got out to our fishing house about 10:30, 8 out of 12 holes were froze shut the plowdriver who was also one of the 2 guides said he was going to come around and check everyone's fishing holes. We waited andwaited, no one came so I called the lodge of course I got the inn not the lodge, after 3 calls and almost 3 hours later someonecame and drilled out the holes, great guy. So 2 of us didn't even fish til after noon. We didn't see anyone else til the otherguide tried to bring us lunch which we were not on there meal plan, all that guide did is criticize us and told us that we werethe only people not catching our limit of fish (which was a lie we found out later). The second day we were also late gettingout (weather not there fault) we forgot our sounders and they brought them to us (which was nice) never saw a guide until it wastime to leave. NOT anything like the website claims, paid lots of money for not much service (lodging was fine) I feel a littleripped off. This was my 2nd trip there. Not sure I will ever go back. Read more

Rented a sleeper house for 4 days. Drove all the way up in a snowstorm because they said we had to pay weather we were there or... not. We got there and they said we wouldn't go put because it was too bad. We didn't get out to our sleeper house til 1 the nextday so we lost out on a day and half of fishing. Then we get to the sleeper thinking it will be decent and it was the worstsleeper I have ever stayed in. The door came off there was a gas line ran over the electrical outlet, snow was coming in undermy bed had to sleep in my coat, and there was 1 light that worked in that entire shack. They said it was a 6 man sleeper but itwas barely big enough for 4 people. I will never go back to this place their website was misleading the sleeper had nothing thatthey claimed like memory foam mattresses, t.v., water and a plethora of other things. We got a free drink each for missing a dayand a half of fishing but they made sure they got their $2500 our of us. Cabin was very small. Evening bar staff were extremely rude even when the bar was quiet with few customers. Manager even... complained when we tried to pay our cabin bill that he was to busy to take our payment - 6 people were in the bar and they had asecond bartender. Guide boats need some help - this was the second year that I had to help bail water because the bilge brokewhile we were out on the lake and the boat was filling up with water! The morning breakfast bar staff were awesome and friendlyand the guide worked hard to find us fish. Read more

Great bar and grill and awesome tasting food! Both dinner and breakfast was fantastic! Cabin was in need of some TLC for sure... and we had a non-working microwave. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our mid-week stay! Fishing wasn't that good but it was -30 when weleft in the morning! Caught some little sauger enough for a nice meal! Read more
