Cool older building reworked into a trendy restaurant. Sat in the downtown area where they have closed off the street. This... allows them to have seating outside. It?s a great location, and they?ve done an excellent job on reworking the building. Thefood is good, it can take some time for the food to arrive, but not an overly long wait. Service could be better. Our food wasserved and the waiter did not check back. We needed a couple of things at the table and asked the person at the bar to get ourwaiter. It was almost 5 minutes before the server arrived. Aside from that point, it was a very good experience. Food wasinteresting, a bit eclectic, but not overly so. Definitely a restaurant to check out. Very comfortable feeling just sitting here. Old City Hall restaurant In downtown Bay... City, Michigan Great staff. Very friendly. Plenty of staff. The bartenders, Mandy and Dani were very attentive and courteousbut not over friendly. The company general manager was here and working as hard as all the staff. I'm impressed. I enjoyed thedelicious bibimbap. It was mild and not overly spicy. The calamaris was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere is relaxed andinviting. Visited 12/30/21 What a great experience! The waitress Madison was awesome, attentive and has a great memory. The place was... clean (except for bathroom door) The food was good, took a while but it was worth the wait. The raspberry donut cheesecake isa must try! The lemon cream cake was also amazing! I used to absolutely love this place!! The food was spectacular! However things seem to have taken a downward spiral. I ordered... the seared tuna and immediately knew something was wrong when it hit the table surrounded by gnats... I also ordered calamariwhich was good. The pork chop dinner was okay. Could have done without the reduction. A bit on the vinegary side. Ordered thefruity pebbles creme brulee... Why go and mess up a good thing?? It looked as though someone's child had spilled his cereal intomy dessert.. the creme brulee was overpowered by the fruity pebbles. Read more
Old City Hall is my favorite place! All the food is amazing. The service is top notch. The atmosphere is relaxing and you have... an option to enjoy your meal and drinks outdoors. I highly recommend going when they have live music! You will not want toleave. From appetizers, to entrées, to desserts, everything is mouthwatering & delicious. What a interesting place with interesting food! Dark old world atmosphere which I love. Neither my girlfriend or myself were... real hungry so we just got drinks and some apps. We had the chicken nachos were plated beautifully with some pork belly boabuns! Both looked amazing and tasted amazing to boot! The food especially the nachos were a new take on a classic as far as howthe food was consumed. Definitely worth a stop for food and drinks and some amazing service! Thanks old city hall. Read more
The jambalaya was fantastic it was a little bit on the hotter side. The carbonara kinda balanced the heat well.
