La Casona is the best Tex-Mex place in Bay City that I have found. Their Mexican guacamole is delicious! About the only thing... that I have had there that was less than stellar is their fajitas, but theor salsa, enchiladas, and tacos are all on point. Their service is good to excellent, and their waitstaff is always accommodating and friendly even when very busy. La Casona ismy go-to restaurant to bring out of town visitors to, and they never disappoint! Read more

The shrimp enchiladas wasn't the greatest. The crawfish tail meat tasted old and very rubbery. The waitress took forever to come... take our order and never checked on us to see how the food was. Only the busboy to refill our drinks. The place wasn't evenslammed. Read more
We decided to check it out since we were looking for place that served drinks and seafood and we were not disappointed we were... seated promptly even though it was peak time and our waitress came to get our drink order I had a Dos X and my wife had a SkinnyMargarita. My wife ordered the chicken enchilada dinner 3 tortillas stuffed and rolled with shredded chicken topped with quesowith a side of rice and charro beans, I ordered a Shrimp Cocktail Monterrey juicy plump shrimp in Clamato juice with picotopped with avocado very tasty cool and spicy, they have the standard salsa and chips but I asked for their green salsa whichhad some fire yet flavor to it our server checked on us frequently made us feel welcome even though it was busy we willdefinitely return . Great atmosphere at la casona. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I ordered a Mexican guacamole and fajitas el jalapeño.... The fajitas came in sizzling. The chicken cooked perfect.
