If this place has been open since 1979, it certainly has aged to perfection. This is authentic Cuban cuisine, and you?re missing... out if you live in this area or are even visiting and you don?t frequent to enjoy the food. The menu is a little pork heavy, butthey do have a pork pit in the back! Breakfast was delicious and the coffee is superb. Just repeat your order several times toensure they get it accurate. Get your eggs on the toast!!! Trust me!) The breakfast potatoes were nicely seasoned. We evenpicked up pork plates to eat later on and were in no way disappointed. First time at Pipos and the only regret is why didn't we visit this place sooner. Maybe exterior could use a bit more creativity... to look more noticeable and inviting. When you walk in, you have to order at the counter before you choose to sit indoors oroutside. There are several mouth watering options right at the counter teasing you, or you can order other items from the menu.There was a line the entire time we were there, which told us they were good! We ordered several things and took our number.Food was brought to our table. Their homemade sangria was good. Complimentary bread was great. BBQ ribs were a generous portionand very juicy. We also got pulled roasted pork, Ropa Viejo (beef), oxtail, Spanish beans, yellow rice, black beans, plantains,and yucca. Everything was rich with flavor, we tried each other's food and were in food heaven. This will be our regular spotfrom now on, can't wait to try more things on their menu. Service is great. Cuban sandwich was excellent and the fried stuffed potato, I could not get enough of that. They are so filling... too I didn?t get to finish my pipos original pork sandwich. I did try it though and it was a bit salty for my taste. If you stophere, keep in mind it gets really busy at lunch time. Come a few minutes before and you will have the place to yourself. This was my first time visiting Pipo's. I had never been to a Cuban restaurant so I was unsure of what to order. I opted for the... Mojo Pollo with yellow rice and black beans. My husband decided on a Traditional Cuban sandwich. Our food was brought outquickly, even though there was somewhat of a dinner rush. The food was amazing!
