What a great discovery. Someone we met earlier in the day recommended this place and so we gave it a try. Wow. Small venue... with wonderful food filled with flavor and range. This is a place we shall return! The service was great as we were net withsmiles and friendly people. You be glad you went. Read more

Service and speed were OK. Bison steaks were not steaks but ground meat and super salty. Lavender lemonade is too sour and... barely have a hint of lavender in it. Champagne pancakes were delicious but extremely small, kind of like at Michelin tastecourse restaurants in Europe, actually the smallest I ever seen. Korean wings looked really good but lacked flavour. We askedfor separate checks, but were given only one in the end. Had to ask to split it 2 times, because they split it wrong the firsttime. This place is worth the trip! I love the atmosphere, the food, and the service. Everything, from the burger of the week, to the... buffalo cheese curds, to the cocktail menu, are well thought-out, unique, and delicious. Read more

I'll start by saying the service at The Wilder was pretty subpar. As a customer I didn't feel like my time was respected. I... understand that sometimes it comes down to how busy it is but this was definitely not one of those times. I'd recommend hiringanother waiter if that's the norm. Anyway, I decided to go with the Torched Tuna. I went in excited but it really didn't tastelike anything. The piece of the dish with the most flavor was the potato. I feel like there are other dishes that are good butfor the price this was not anything special. Read more

My boyfriend and I wandered into The Wilder on the early end of dinner on a Saturday in late September. We were warmly greeted,... seated and had our drinks (a beer and glass of wine) in hand in minutes. The starter of roasted Brussels sprouts, radishes, andbacon served in an acidic mustard sauce was fantastic. We also shared the 1/2 lb burger of the day, which was a spicy blend ofsirloin and prosciutto, topped with a soft creamy cheese and a perfectly balanced raspberry ?ketchup.? The fries were wellseasoned and crispy and their housemade side sauce was a bit on the smoky side. We ordered one other cocktail and our bill wasunder $50! What a perfect date night and I recommend getting out of Minneapolis for a truly cozy experience with a lot of bangfor your buck. Read more

For an $18-20+ entree, the whole experience wasn't quite on. The chairs were not comfortable and were slightly wobbly. Roasted... vegetables not really roasted or flavorful. Not bad, not great. Roasted vegetables are usually amazingly delicious. Servings atad small (no leftovers. We always take home leftovers). Spare ribs were excellent. The savory cheddar waffle (served with thechicken) was perfection. Chorizo burger was a little small but was well cooked and flavorful. The bun was dry. The cheese curdswere over cooked and dried out. The homemade pickles were the best part of that appetizer. As scratch proponents, we wanted toLOVE this place. It was OK. Eat here if you are in the area. We drove an hour and a half just to eat here...I wouldn't suggestthat. :/ Best of luck Read more
