The 2 star rating is reflected on (what was suppose to be) the hibachi grill experience. We arrived 8:15 PM in time for our... reservation, and was standing by the stairs and was not greeted for check in until 8:24 PM. During this time, there was a largetable still waiting to be seated at a hibachi grill... (this will be important later on). I knew at that point it would beawhile until we actually get our food. I inquired on the wait time considering our reservation and expectation to be seated ata grill within minutes of arriving but the hostess admitted that they were behind (I assume because of the lack of hibachichefs) and said it shouldn't take more than 15 minutes. I looked around the restaurant during this time and it looked severelyunderstaffed. 830 PM rolled along and nothing... so I inquired about sitting in the bar area and ditching the hibachiexperience, which was 110% okay with us because we were just hungry. We were sat IMMEDIATELY after opting in for bar seating.There was only 1 female bartender for the entire restaurant and she was also in charge of all guests in the bar seating andsurrounding area. We weren't greeted right away, because she was busy making cocktails and drinks, but that gave us time tofigure out our entire meal selection before she arrived. When she finally greeted us, we ordered our drinks and food choicesimmediately. We ordered a spicy tuna crispy rice appetizer, steak yakisoba noodles made medium, hibachi steak made medium rarewith chicken fried rice (extra charge), and an iced tea. We received the soup and the salad within 5 minutes of placing ourorder, and the meals were served probably 15 minutes after. Everything came out hot and delicious. Sadly, the appetizer cameout 5 minutes after our meals were already on the table. The steak yakisoba noodles were a tad oily, but the vegetables andsteak were flavourful and well seasoned. My mom and I came here for her birthday dinner and leaving with possible food poisoning. 1st the sushi was lower grade then... grocery store level 2nd the Tokyo wings were so oily you could fill a 2oz container with the oil 3rd my mom got shrimp andscallops a simple normal hibachi meal and the scallops could make better bouncy balls than they could food 4th I know sushibesides eel and crustaceans is served raw but the sashimi was so raw some of it still had the blood and the eel was so inedibleI nearly threw up due to the texture and rubbery chewiness. 5th the men's bathroom floor was sticky you'd think they cleaned itwith soda or something like that. I don't know what has happened, but I will save my $75 bucks. We waited a hour after our reservation to be seated. We had a... long drive to get there, this use to be a nice place, but has severely declined in service , food, atmosphere, but pricesincrease. Corporate please come in & do something. Great hibachi place serving Japanese dishes! The food was great!! The chefs are so skillful and friendly. Loved the hibachi... shrimp dish. The price is little bit towards higher side though. The reason I am giving one less star is because you have toshare table with others. If you going in a group you get your own table, if you are going alone or as couple you have to sharethe table with others. That might not be the best idea as far as Covid protocol is concerned!
