I only visited their patio restaurant but we had a great time. The drinks were delicious as was the food. If you’re lucky... enough to sit out on the patio during a nice day, you’ll have a spectacular view of the nearby river and waterfall. Request awindow seat if you’re sitting inside. It’s a perfect place to grab some beers on a beautiful fall day. Read more
(Review is for the hotel, not the restaurant). Awesome experience here! Check-in and check-out processes were super smooth, room... service was efficient, and staff was friendly. We got a room with the waterfall view, which was absolutely gorgeous. Cutebreakfast delivered to your door in the morning. There are also some cool features in the room like a wireless phone chargingpad and screencasting on the TV. The location is really convenient, walking distance to basically everything in the town. Bedwas extremely comfy. Don't have anything negative to say except a few minor things about the room. The shower is a walk-install but doesn't have a door to close, which can cause water to get on the floor and make the shower feel chilly. There wasalso a loose piece on the temperature control in there. We had a great experience and would definitely stay again! Read more
We loved this hotel! It's located perfectly on the east end of Main Street, so there are a ton of cute stores and restaurants... within walking distance. The included breakfast was nice; it consisted of yogurt, a small bagel, and a muffin, plus coffee / teaand orange juice. We stayed in the building where the lobby is located, and our room had amazingly high ceilings. I reallyenjoyed how much natural light we got. The is super comfy. We came in the middle of a heat wave in August and the room AC keptus cool. I never heard other hotel guests, so I think the sound insulation is also pretty good. There were some odd thingsabout the room though that I took off a few points for, including that the bathroom door is a sliding barn style door so you'renot going to get perfect privacy, and in our bathroom, the entire shower handle hardware was able to be pulled out about an inchfrom the shower tile, so that we could literally see into the wall. It wasn't a problem for us, but I could see why some peoplewould have issues with the bathroom. Read more
Our son and new daughter-in-law were married on Saturday at the Roundhouse. The wedding was absolutely gorgeous. The food was... fabulous, the service was spectacular and the venue was spectacular. Our guests cannot stop talking about how amazing thewedding was. Everyone also enjoyed the after party at the hotel bar. The organizing staff was amazing - thanks to Amber, Angelaand Claudia. They were wonderful! A Roundhouse wedding is Highly Recommended!! We had a number of rooms at the Roundhouse andthey were lovely. We enjoyed our stay there. Our waiter was truly lovely, but the food is really below par for the high prices they try to charge (prices akin to amazing... restaurants in NYC). At best it’s in line with the mediocre country club you eat at because you’ve already paid your dues.Bottles of wine were quite good and the fries alongside the fish and chips were good, but dinner was made better by leaving andgrabbing some ice cream elsewhere. Great staff,fantastic reception amazing location so why four stars? Sometimes the sum of all the parts don’t always add up to... a whole experience! Our room was in the building across the river and it took us three attempts to get to our room. After a longjourney it would have been easier if they had a card with how best to do this! Great views from the room and equipment withinit. The view from the room was great but as it was next to the bridge you rather felt like a goldfish as people could peerin. Well stocked fridge. Breakfast was a cold continental one delivered to your door but within this were the spoons needed toeat the yoghurt that were in the fridge leave some utensils in the room. The Roundhouse seems, in a word, cozy. I have definitely been in larger and grander banquet halls. Not that this place is bad,... it's about average or a little bit above average to me. The cake came out after I've already had two cups of coffee. And mydessert fork was filthy with food remnants on the handle and a little bit on the tines. We informed one of the staff members andthe fork was replaced immediately with a clean one. Kudos for that. But my experience overall was just about average. Read more
This is a review of the restaurant. We had a delicious dinner on Saturday night and the service was great as well. However, I... can't give 5 stars because they allowed a family of four to bring their dog into the restaurant and literally sit at theirtable. While the dog did not disrupt anything, seeing the dog eating scraps from the laps of their owners while I was eating insuch a nice place was disturbing. Don't get me wrong - I have a dog, but I leave her at home, especially when we are going outto eat. I think the indoor dog policy needs to be reviewed... Read more
