Eating here was one of our best dining experiences in years, hands down. Shamefully, in all our years in Niagara we had had... Peninsula Ridge wines and been to the shop but never dined in at the restaurant. We're now kicking ourselves we waited solong. Our server Diana was one of the best servers we've had at any restaurant anywhere, ever. She has top-notchprofessionalism and knows exactly when to approach the table, and notices all the little things. She's genuine from the momentyou talk with her and by the end of the meal it felt like we had made a new friend. The supporting staff who came to the tablewere also very polite and knew the little touches that make an experience great (like knowing who ordered what entrée, insteadof "food auctioning" once they get to the table). The food was incredible. I had the seafood pasta with lobster cream sauce,which was loaded with seafood and was the perfect portion size, enough to leave full but not loaded to the point of falling offthe plate. My wife had the catch of the day, which was an arctic char that was cooked to perfection. We also had the antipastoplatter an an appetizer, which had a selection of delicious salami and cheeses served with dijon and grape jam. We ordered abottle of the Peninsula Ridge Riesling Sparkling which was also tasty (a nice hint of sweetness without being too sweet), andfinished off the meal with the chocolate raspberry tartufo, which was decadent and delicious without being sicklysweet. The wine selection was great, who knew that was the highlight. We ordered the Peninsula Ridge Antipasto Platter for two. The... cheese seemed processed, there were 2 pieces of salami. These salamis also seemed processed and locally bought at No Frills. Iwould comment on the mains, but we decided not to take a chance. The room we were escorted to was 15 degrees, way to cold for acomfortable dining experience. I cannot express how disapointed we were. Read more
