The ambience was relaxing and spacious. The food was good. I had the mixed tempura, shrimp roll, and baby lobsbster roll. They... were all delicious. I was very impressed. I eat a lot of sushi and I know what good sushi is and what it is not. I had hot green tea, yellowtail... sashimi, and an aloha roll. For some reason, it took a little while to make so they gave me free edamame. The tea was highquality, fresh leaves steeped in the pot, not from a little store bought premade baggie. The yellowtail was cut nice and thickand was fresh and delicious. The aloha roll was great too, they didn't skimp on anything. This wasn't the best sushi I've everhad but it was really, really good. Very impressive for a sushi spot in the middle of the desert. The ambiance could use somework but the food was spot on. Read more

I placed an order on the evening of 08/06/2022, was told that it would be ready in 15 to 20 minutes. I show up 20 after the call... to find that my order hadn't been put in and the young kid working the cashier apologized saying they were slammed even thoughthere was only 4 families dining in. He assured me that the order would take no longer than 10 to 15 minutes to make. 45 minuteslater a different lady, short with short brown hair brings my order and when I ask if everything was there, she rudely says youare more than welcome to double check my work. Not trying to make a scene and taken back by her attitude, I leave with my order.Once I get home I find that 3 Rolls are missing, the miso soup is luke warm and all of the side sauces I asked for are notthere. After speaking with the cashier via telephone, he was very apologetic and kept saying they were so slammed and offered mea refund. I accepted the refund offer but was informed that their manager could only process the refund and that she was not inuntil the end of the shift. 3 days later, no refund. I called again and asked to speak with the manager, the kid that answeredthe phone had a snarky attitude wanting to know why I wanted to speak with them then suddenly the manager wasn't in and he couldtake a message and have the manager call back. Of course no call back, called again 2 days later and got the same run aroundthat no manager was in. Called again 1 week after the first call was made and was told the manager was working at their newYucaipa location, so I called there. Was told She was the sushi chef for the evening and would call back, again no call back. Iwas left no choice but to dispute with C/C company. I ate here regularly and the food has always been good, but they are reallylacking in customer service. Read more

Paid $62 for a few bites of food!! Was suppose to feed 5 people. Normally would have filled us all up and been overly stuffed.... NOT TODAY! Today was my daughter's 13th Birthday. She loves sushi ???? so of course we went to our local sushi restaurant. Wehave gone here plenty of times. Last time we went, we noticed their rolls were a little smaller. Today we got 9 rolls in total.2 being special rolls that use to fit in a large box, Now small enough to fit together in a small box. 7 were california rollsfor the kids to share, some had just crab meat and as small as a penny. Today they were two times smaller then normal. They didnot taste as good as they use to. After last times experience and todays visit we will not be returning. We spent over $60trying to help support our local businesses. I know times are hard, but cutting back on the quality of food is going to losebusiness! Read more

Upon approaching the suite where Sugoi Sushi, it appears misleadingly closed due to the paper shades with black curtains... directly behind them placed over the windows. Entering the establishment is a quite cozy environment, welcoming and attentivestaff. The food was excellent, so props to the chefs. As a first time guest, this place definitely deserves props.
