For a truck stop diner, this is a gold mine. We often deal with low to medium level food and service. This place has medium... levels of service with a good atmosphere. But the thing that I enjoyed most was the awesome presentation of a large grilledchicken salad. The best I have probably ever had. I highly recommend eating here if your on I-10 in Texas. Worth the wait! The food was soooo good. My husband had California Bendict, I had the California Omelette and we also had... Amazing cinnamon roll French toast. Our waitress Selina was friendly and attentive. The menus and decorations are also supercute. It's a good thing this restaurant is no where near my home because I would big as house. Read more

The food here is excellent. My husband ordered meat loaf and I ordered pot roast and it was heavenly. The portions are pretty... big even in little less category. We also tried their triple berry citrus spritzer - the perfect drink for a summer day. Allladies are extremely nice and friendly here. We?ll definitely stop here again when passing by. Read more

AC wasn't keeping the business cool. Food was BLAND. Everything needed seasoning and the hashbrowns had a metallic taste. Eggs... over easy weren't quite cooked enough. We always enjoy breakfast for dinner and it's been some time since visiting black bear. We were seated immediately and greeted... right away by Tracy. I forgot the name of my omlete but it was the egg white one and was so yummy! The strawberry jam with thewarm biscuit is amazing! Chris got a meat lover omelet and said it was okay but he enjoyed the corn Muffin and roasted potatoes.The pancakes are a most get even of you share them! They are so yummy. Service was okay, we didn't get alot of attention orrefills but our food came out perfect so can't complain too much. We will Definitely be back though. Read more

We love this place. Used to be Crackle Barrel people but stumbling upon Black Bear Diner was a treat. This was our second time... there and the food is amazing and such a great value for the money. Staff is friendly and so far both times we went we sat rightdown. I had the Scrambowl which was delicious. Can't wait to go back. Read more
