When we walked in the hostess was in a super cheerful mood and was just outstanding ???? We were sat and drinks, appetizers... ordered. Our waiter was in training. I had an amazing time here. It was our first time here. I enjoyed the food, the staff and the decor. I had the shrimp... quesadillas and the big tater. My wife had the 1/2 rack of ribs and all of it was wonderful. They also have a weekday specialof $1.99 Margaritas that are awesome. I would definitely come back here. Read more
Went out for a date night here yesterday and it was also my first time in. It was for st.pattys day so they had live music on... the patio portion. The musician was great to listen to while we enjoyed our meal. You could come casual or dress up a little tocome in and you wouldn't feel out of place. The ambiance was comfortable and fun. The wait staff was on top of it. Our waiterwould have refills on our table before we even noticed to ask and while everyone was busy, there was no feeling like they wereoverburdened with too many tables which is something I like to see when dining out. The food was also excellent ???? Here'swhat we ordered. Id recommend all of it. - Seafood trio - fried crayfish, alligator and shrimp with their house cocktail sauce. Super yummy. Nothing was rubbery in texture which ive often experienced with orderding fried alligator. - Pontchartrain with aside salad and a few leprechaun kisses (their special drink for the holiday, very very good) - Due to too many Ieprechaun kissesI can't remember the name of what my date ordered but it was a seafood platter that included fried soft shell crab, crab cakes,fried shrimp and some fried alligator and a cup of gumbo. This is the first place where I was pretty delighted in the gumbo, Iwould order again. Food and drinks were excellent!! The crawfish was delicious along with the swamp bites. Our waiter, Martin, was friendly and... took care of us throughout the meal. He was knowledgeable of the menu and had great suggestions for items to try!! Definitelywill be back again!! Read more
This evening was by far the WORST restaurant experience we ever had!!! And that?s saying an AWFUL lot. We?ve been here before -... and it seemed to be a hit and miss deal on the quality of the food. 1st we ordered the crab ???? dip. Yuck ???? It honestlywasn?t even eatable. I personally wanted to send it back- have it removed for our ticket- but my husband wouldn?t let me?- he?snot the complaining type. He?d rather just pay and NEVER COME BACK! ?? I on the other hand think they should know it?sNASTY!! Then? comes our food - His - Seafood Gumbo Mine- Catfish Cocodrie AGAIN!!! Disgusting ???? There?s a serious issuewith the cooking of sauces & roux !!!! The chargrilled oysters were great. I got the sampler . Unfortunately everything else was too salty. I got the three different... fish plate salty. Got the shrimp étouffée salty. Now the gumbo was not bad. Read more
Exceptionally good food and great, friendly service. My wife ordered 1/2 slab BBQ and she was extremely happy with not just the... taste but the portion size she received. Also, the extras that came with it... the cole slaw and the potatoes. I ordered OystersDiablo (super yummy with a slight spicy taste to it) and seafood gumbo. The gumbo base was wonderfully seasoned and they kindlyput the rice to the side so I could give it to my wife. If the want to complete your dinner happily, ask to be seated inMiranda's section! Wish I had tried this place sooner, it?s been in Beaumont for a while. Me and my husband split the Ralph?s Platter. All of the... food was cooked to perfection. The service was amazing. The atmosphere is cool and comfortable. Definitely a great place to tryif you love Cajun seafood. The gumbo was our favorite. Read more
