We stopped in her for lunch on the way back from a walk. The place was very busy and the single server was run off her feet with... the completely full pub. However, she was friendly and in good humour even though busy. She put together a table for us and wehad an excellent lunch. There were four of us, and we had chowder which was excellent, a good burger, and I had two excellentfish tacos (Probably the best I have had). Even the French Fries were excellent, hot and crispy. It was very quiet for a Saturday..I loved the food and the service.. It had an awesome view.. with our luck we found out they... rent kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards on the lake..So it is the perfect spot for an all day outing Read more
I have been back here 3 times since my first bad experience, and it has not gotten better. The location is great for me but I... find the portions small and prices high. I always go with a group and at least one person in the group really dislikes theirfood - my dad called it 'the worst steak sandwich he ever had' - although mine has always been mediocre. I went again last weekand there was only 1 or 2 other tables when we arrived, we ordered right away, we asked for the cheque as soon as we were done,and it still took an hour an half for main courses only.... so slow. They were also out of many things on a menu that isalready only two pages. I think they need to pick a lane... either you are a fine dining pub and then you need to deliver onthat with better food... or you are not, in which case hurry up the service and make the prices and portion sizes match. Stopped here to have lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant has a back room that's very spacious and has a lot of... natural light. The large windows give a nice view on the lake if you're sitting near them. Ordered the fish tacos with the sweetpotato fries. The fries were actually crispy and had a lovely flavour. The fish was well seasoned without being oily. The ceasarsalad had croutons that were a bit soggy. The bathroom is clean and well lit. Read more
The burger was 5 star. The menu selection is about a 3. The price 4 star. The view of the lake is good from most places in the... business. Picnic tables near the lake makes it takeout friendly for boaters and paddlers during the water seasons. Read more
Great friendly service from our server. The wraps were lightly grilled so the greens were warm but not wilted. My side salad was... very tasty and not just a veggie afterthought. The local beer selection on tap was just enough selection to fit our needs. Allin all a very lovely place to eat! Read more
