A nice, friendly watering hole that draws crowds; not surprising since it was pretty much the only restaurant open in town after... Labor Day. We ate there a couple of times while visiting the island and the food is good, menu selection not bad, and the staffwere very friendly. I would say the burgers were great, and best of all were the tater-tots; not your store bought from a bagtots - they were great. Only downside was the cost. Be prepared for sticker shock; but then consider what it takes to getsupplies to the island. Read more
Decent food, I had the fish sandwich and it was above average. Outdoor seating was nice on a beautiful day.
Our first time on the island and we came here for our first meal, dinner. First I have a service dog and they seen him, sat us... down at a booth, which was fine. Our waiter took our orders and we decided to eat outside since it was cooler, he helped us moveour drinks and showed us the way. Ate , paid , no problem. This was Friday evening. So husband was here to repair a dump truckaxle for Rich Gillespie and while he did that on Saturday me and grandson explored. Sunday we rented a side by side to explorethe island. Well, we ate breakfast and went off. Come lunch time about 2pm, we decided to go back to shamrock for a good lunch.The waitress came to us and said no dogs, I replied he is a service dog and we were welcomed to eat here the other day, youcan?t refuse him. Then she huffed and replied, well then on the patio. I said nope, we?ll leave. If your going to treat usdifferently and refuse us to dine inside, we?ll leave. We did. I had a burger for lunch the first day and it was amazing. Definitely a burger you should get. I also had the buffalo wings.... They were also very good. Last night I got the 14oz ribeye steak. It was 36 bucks. So relatively cheap and it was worth everypenny. Cooked perfectly medium rare. I would recommend anyone coming to the island to eat at the Shamrock. Read more
The service was very slow. I ordered the steak and it was not cooked to the correct temperature. The waitress did not know what... to do, but did eventually ask if I would like a new steak cooked. The appetizers were good. Read more
Multiple restaurant staff made it clear that tourists were not welcome. They told us the kitchen was closed and proceeded to... serve the tables next to us. We understand the kitchen being closed, and were disappointed we couldn?t support this restaurant.We ordered a basket of chips and ice cream for the kids, napkins would?ve been nice but we learned our lesson we were notwelcome. My husband and I have to watch our weight..not too much on the menu that fits what we were looking for..but we did have a bison... burger that was very good cooked just right. Service was good. Would like to see a few more light weight foods in the menu. Nicebar atmosphere and the hours and days open are good. Read more
