LOVED the view sitting outside and our waitress was sweet! But the food was pretty terrible for the price, and the expensive... chocolate martini only filled half of the glass :(. And the decor inside is even worse. And the bathroom? The weirdest - wish Iwould?ve take a picture - it was like one-person bathroom with an additional lock-off toilet. Read more

Our family went there for dinner earlier in July, the wait staff was wonderful but the food was TERRIBLE and overpriced!!! I had... the whitefish encrusted with panko crumbs and parmesan, with a lemon curd sauce. The fish was PRE formed, Pre-PRE- prepared andthe sauce was way too sweet, awful! The Bison Wellington my husband had was VERY fatty, awful!!! It is such a shame becausethis restaurant used to be fantastic. They used to serve fresh local Whitefish that was excellently prepared. We visited on a whim and ended up having a wonderful and memorable sunset dinner. The food was exceptional, the staff friendly,... and the view absolutely framable. Both the seafood and the bison were amazing. They were family friendly, and while this placeis suitable for a more elegant meal, island wear is just fine. Beaver Island is a one of a kind experience and this was a nicefinale for our voyage. Read more

During our stay at the lodge, we ate here twice. Partly because it was off season and a lot of other restaurants were closed.... Food was great! The crust of the Whitefish was perfect and the lemon beurre blanc complemented the dish so well. Filet wasprepared perfectly although the Ribeye was a little salty. Mushroom bisque was exceptional despite not being the biggest fan ofmushrooms. The crusted feta, lodge salad and beet arugula salad were all very enjoyable as well. The vinaigrette was reallygood. We visited the restaurant for the first time yesterday evening and were turned down because we had no reservations. The place... had a small section in the back that had people, but she said they were expecting a party of 15 people and the wait would be 2hours. The waitress wasn?t very pleasant and lacked personality. I?m assuming she was the only waitress there last night by theway we were greeted. We were very discouraged and would definitely not go there again, even if it means eating at Shamrock theentire time we?re at the island. Read more

Excellent service. Great whitefish, short rib, and veal. Great beet salad. Nice wine list. Pricey but worth it. On the water.

We have been to Beaver Island Lodge Restaurant many times over the years and always had a very enjoyable dinner. Tonight we... made an impulsive decision to go out to dinner and after looking at other menus we decided to spend a little extra money and goto a beautiful place with a view. So we chose the restaurant at the Lodge.. We were not disappointed. We ordered the Shrimpappetizer special which was delicious and for the entrees we ordered Lobster Seafood Risotto and Whitefish with doublevegetables. My husband loved the Risotto which had large portions of lobster, scallops and shrimp. My Whitefish and asparaguswere cooked to perfection. The service was excellent and we are so glad we chose the Lodge. Read more
