I can't see what all the hype is about. I went with my family because a lot of people talked about how great this place was. How... cool it was to cook your steak on a rock at your table. - It wasn't great for me. The staff was very friendly and our server wassuperb. However, the table we were seated at was dirty, the floor was dirty, and all the menus had grease on them. You couldvery visibly see grease on everything. The restaurant had very loud music playing and I couldn't even really talk to my family.The appetizer was good. We had the lobster dip. Not bad, but again with the grease. The quality of meat was sad. The steak Iordered didn't taste very good, and the steak my family ordered wasn't the best either. My son really liked that his apples camewith a dip. The volcano dessert was a very cool visual but also wasn't very tasty. Overall, it was cool to try it out, but Idon't think I'll be eating at Black Rock again. Read more

Overall fantastic experience and food was delicious. Every item I saw come out of the kitchen looked amazing. I opted in to cook... my own steak for the unique experience. So, back story... Matthew came up here for work for 6 weeks last year and came home RAVING about this restaurant and how he... wanted us to go again one day. I mean, I heard about it multiple times. Well, I now know why. De-Lish! It was so, so good. Theybring out a garlic herb butter, "Casino Butter", for the steak, but you know what that stuff taste like heaven in, mashedtaters???? As you can tell. We all were more than satisfied with our meals. Then men had 6 oz Sirloin and LOVED it, my mom hadthe chicken stir fry (she enjoyed it but said she would get something else if and when we go back because the sauce was just abit too strong), and I had the Black Rock Chicken with the Louisiana Dream sauce instead of the black rock sauce. It is so good,but if you don't like spicy things, then don't order this. I love spicy food and still went through 2 glasses of tea. Also,their chicken tortilla soup is to die for. The fresh tortilla strips are amazing. Oh, and that garlic herb butter they bring outfor the steak, y'all better ask for more and put it in the mashed potatoes. OH???????? MY???? GOSH ???????? Absolutely loved the whole experience! I had the steak and ribs combo,with asparagus and mashed sweet potatoes. Appetizer was... soft pretzel with nacho cheese sauce and a garlic cream cheese sauce. Wife had a cheese burger called moons over my burger andtruffle fries. And our server was prompt and very courteous. Definitely returning. Read more

It Smells Delicious when you walk through the door... This is one of my husband's favorite places & couldn't wait for me to try... it! I was NOT disappointed! I love the stones to cook your steaks! I had the Monster Lobster ???? Bisque (enough to share)...The bubbling shrimp app... My. Hubby got the wedge salad & NY Strip with a side of the 3 soups (Lobster Bisque, French Onion &Clam Chowder)... You have to check this place out, bring your appetite!!! Read more

The staff were awesome but the food was not that impressive. The ingredients in my burger were comparable to a fast food... restaurant. The truffle fries were excellent. The dessert was pretty cool and tasted great. The volcano was filled with icecream, marshmallows, whipped cream, a waffle cone, and a massive brownie. This restaurant had very friendly/knowledgeable staff, nice lighting, and awesome spacious tables. The appetizers were good. The... steaks were cooked by the person eating them on a hot stone. It had very nice flavor. Only complaint was time in restaurant. Wehad reservations at 4pm and didn?t leave till after 7 pm. Long time to wait for entree when they bring it out uncooked? Thetable beside us was extremely loud which lessened a nice dinner experience, entirely not in their control. Read more

Tonight I had an wonderful dining experience at the Black Rock. I went in wanting to try the 755 degrees of sizzling... satisfaction were you cook your own steak bite by bite on the famous black rock. I was not disappointed at all. I had thesirloin cut that was seasoned to perfection and a side of asparagus. I started with the house salad that had the presentation ofa symmetrical masterpiece. The beer selection was fantastic and the bartenders can whip up any drink that you would like. Theatmosphere is excellent and the staff are top notch and extremely knowledgeable on all the restaurant's processes. You mustgive the Black Rock a try...you will not be disappointed. Read more
