Went here for my 34th Birthday because everything was closed around 10 pm. Liz, the bartender, was very fun to interact with.... Drinks and service was great here. This would be lower, but our waiter, Vincent was a delightful young man. The service was good, he was prompt, and polite and... charming. The food was bad. I ordered the mac and cheese with sweet honey chicken. It was like completely flavorless soup. Thechicken was way over cooked and pooling grease. My Cesar salad had a sweet citrus dressing, oh well, fine, but half the romainewas well past being served. Mushy or that pinky brown. My sons steak and mashed potatoes with broccoli was unseasoned. My mom'sbreaststick was so hard she could bang the table with it. The manager debated the waiter over the 3 bites I took, and finallyagreed to a few $off, which I didn't even ask for. If rather have eaten at the hospital cafeteria. At least you know up frontyou're getting way over priced garbage. Also, there was an employee changing in the only handicapped restroom, which my momneeded to use, but she was in there so long, I ended up having to get my disabled mom up and down off the other toilet! They were Too Scary with too many rules that most Apple Bees Locations don?t have. Like wanting to put my Margarita in the trunk... or back seat even though it was sealed. The Tacos were good. The Cinnabons were hard as a Rock. And the Margarita wasn?t maderight or something that doesn?t belong in it was in it. That?s why an All Caucasian Female staff is bad for business! I ordered the Bourbon street chicken and shrimp and didn't get what was advertised. In the picture on the menu the plate was... about 3/4 bigger. The chicken was on half the plate with tons of onion and mushrooms, and the mashed potatoes were the otherhalf with multiple toppings. I got a very small plate on top of another plate. I got unseasoned mash with no toppings. My scopewas 6 or 8 ounces (not half the plate), it couldn't have been more. The chicken i was served was also very bland and the littleflavour it did have was despicable. It tasted like tree bark. I think it was supposed to be mint or pesto, which I will add isusually okay. First time ever we've eaten at an Applebee's and so happy we chose here to have an amazing perfectly cooked lunch. And our... server Christine was a delight. So polite and even though she was working alone hustleing to get us taken care of in a timelymannor she smiled was very nice. It makes a huge great deal when treated respectful. We live on the coast. I've stopped in for lunch a few times over the last couple of weeks. I've ordered the sirloin and a cheeseburger and these meals... have come out tasty every time. The sirloin was the perfect medium and had a good flavor. My favorite part has been the staffhelping me. They have been attentive, very friendly and quick.
