Real authentic Japanese food. Everything was what I expected from a quality Japanese restaurant. The prices are very reasonable.... Sushi, udon, tempura, and curry are all good. Honestly, I would have given this place a 5 star rating. I have to say, their sushi is actually really nice. Fish is fresh and... appetizers taste like you're in Japan. However, when you are scolded for not tipping as much as the worker wants, I thinkotherwise about the 5 star. Taste is very important, but when your restaurant worker is pointing at the receipt of a takeoutorder asking for tip, you don't want to go to the restaurant anymore. Conclusion : Dear Ikenohana. Your food is great. Butthat doesn't mean you make a face and start pointing at the receipt for more tip. Customer decides tip amount and you don'tdemand for more while pointing at the receipt. It's ok. The salmon sashimi was served too cold and tasted a little fishy. The beef in the gyu don was overcooked and overall... it tasted a bit pedestrian. I wasn't very impressed. Read more

First time visit. Coming in, it felt cozy and peaceful, sushi station manned by 2 elderly gentleness working steadily,... concentrating on the food preparation... Ordered bento combos. Starter glass noodle salad, lettuce salad, and miso came, all ofwhich had a well balance flavor! Note: lettuce salad should be eaten with a spoon. All of the main were okay to good. The okaypart was unfortunately the sashimi, the most important part. It was a bit soft, especially what I thought was the yellowtail. Itmay be due to the fish being too thin... I was considering 5-star rating until the character of their sashimi was tasted andwhen I realized the sushi designation of the bento menu meant Nigiri... Today I decided to dine here, but was not served at all. I stayed there for a solid 40 minutes, and not even ONE waiter helped... me. There was a lot of open tables, and even if they are all reserved, you could?ve told me, a simple acknowledgment would makemy experience a lot better. If the waiter had told me how long I had to wait I would gladly wait more than 40 minutes. BUT NOONE EVEN WALKED TO THE FRONT AND TALKED TO ME. This is not the first time, I have several friends who also had the same problem,they even waited longer than me. This is a recurring problem that still haven?t been fixed, 1 star. Read more

We enjoyed the combo dinner with teriyaki chicken and tempura udon. The miso soup was amazing and our meal also came with... noodles and cucumber and a small side salad. We also enjoyed the eel avocado roll and the tempura roll. The vibe feels verycozy and relaxing inside- with calming music and every seat filled with people enjoying food and each other?s company. You mayhave to wait a bit, few waitstaff are helping the whole restaurant. We took it as an opportunity to talk and digest betweencourses- which more than made up for the wait. Can?t wait to go back!
