I like the thin waffles used to make these sandwiches! Anything with the maple butter is so good! Definitely need to eat it... immediately for best waffle texture. The longer it stays in the container the softer the waffle gets. The bacon and sausage andcheese here is really high quality and there are lots of vegetarian and vegan options too. The sweet waffle with blueberries andlemon Bavarian creme is excellent! I also really like the salad they make here. It's a spinach salad with beets, blueberries,soft goat cheese, shaved almonds, and a light and tangy dressing that is so tasty! Read more

Something was bad in the food; gave me stomach cramps. Quite expensive! for a meal with drink you'd come out around $18. I'm... beginning to realize that's what food cart pricing in Portland is in general; "get less for more". Obviously there is noservice, you stand around to place an order and then pick it up yourself after which you are belligerently presented with tipoptions majority of which are placed around 25 to 30% woaaw. My husband and I went to this cart location at BGs food cartel in Beaverton and we loved it! The gluten free/vegan waffles is... delicious, and the ingredients were fresh. Definitely the place to go for a good savory waffle. Next time we?re going for thesweet! Read more

Was bummed, 3 in our party ordered Waffle Sandwiches here at the Smaaken Food truck. The other 4 ordered from 3 different... trucks. The other 4 got their food from the other food trucks. The other 4 finished all their food they ordered and received.Had already gone back once to ask to Smaaken what?s up, ?they forgot? our order. For the 3 orders from the Smaaken Waffle truck,at least 40 minutes wait. Many customers in front of us got their orders. Since it took so long and it was very warm, asked fora complimentary refill of the lemonade. Nope, $2.75. Bad customer service for sure, they totally don?t care about theircustomers, will not come back here. Ruined the entire experience. Read more

Delicious waffles! Thin and crispy while still fluffy. I really appreciate how dairy free and vegan options are available and... clearly marked on their menu. I first ordered the vegan sausage and maple butter. The sausage was yummy and savory. The coconutmaple butter was melted into my waffle perfectly. I also ordered the chocolate and whipped cream adding bananas (pictured) whichI also loved. A good dairy free chocolate and whipped cream is hard to find so I will definitely be back here!
