Food here really has great potential. Stopped in for a quick lunch and ordered the battered buffalo shrimp. Being from Eastern... Shore of MD these remind me of fried buffalo oysters we do locally, imagine the surprise when you bite into a fully breadedshrimp and the tail IS LEFT ON.. AHHHHH. Absolutely and totally ruined it for me. Such a great, simple dish and boom.. ruined.Please remove tails and clean shrimp before batter and frying..PLEASE PLEASE. I did ask the waiter who immediately asked, Youdidn't eat the tail did you? That's how they come! Seriously?! Like chef rule #1.. if it's not edible you don't plate it.. letalone bread it and fry it, hidden from the customer. Arghhh!!! Seriously the menu looks amazing, the honey glazed crusant wasdelicious, all the food I saw looked wonderfully prepared. Will definitely try this place again if I am in town. Read more
Waitress was wonderful! She did a great job attending our needs. I asked for my $10 burger to be cooked medium instead of... medium well stated on the menu. The waitress said that would NOT be a problem. The food took over 30 minutes to come out whichwas fine as the dinner crowd was arriving. My burger was WELL done. Expected somewhat of a frozen product but was hopeful given the name. I think what Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen actually stands for... is Cheddar's 86'd the kitchen... Blackened salmon was fine, not great not bad. Fries were obviously frozen which was a hugedisappointment considering I only wanted to come here for what appeared to be fresh fries. They tasted old and were barely roomtemp, ate about three... The rice you see is all the rice I received; a hole was carved out for the salmon. The plate wasdelivered to the table as is, grease circles on the empty space included... I got a salad as a side before my dinner arrived, sonot sure what left the grease circles. Salsa on the Key West chicken looked pale and sad, including canned pineapple... Not agood choice in a fresh salsa... Mashed potatoes and rice had no flavor. Calories per plate are out of control, including for thesalads. Won't be back. Read more
Fordt time here, didn't know what to expect. I had 2 side salads placed in one bowl for my sides and grilled chicken/3 blackened... keywest shrimp with salsa over a bed of rice. It was juicy and absolutely delicious. The salad with the vinengarette dressingwas fresh and delicious!!!!! I tasted the potato soup and it was amazing. The chicken strip are breaded there, we're not greasyand they enjoyed that meal. The environment was great having clean space, table and decor was the best with large fan area andfish tank. There's outdoor seating with music and surrounded in a floral garden with a fountain. Our server was extraordinary.Great midway stop on way home from a preoperative appointment several hours away from home and relatively extremely affordablefor the quality of fresh foods! Read more
What can I say other than..... completely and without a doubt one of the best places I've been out to eat at!! I can't wait to... go again! The food was...... amazingly & unbelievably delicious! The atmosphere was ....amazingly inviting & comfortable & aplace that would be wonderful to gather with family and friends! The service was prompt courteous & knowledgeable. I woulddefinitely give this restaurant 10 stars if I could. Like I said I can't wait to go again & for anyone that isn't sure on whereto eat: well Cheddar's is hands down always winner in my book! We went in for lunch this past weekend. The service was very slow in the beginning but the food was absolutely amazing! I had... the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans.
