The Copper Door was the perfect choice for my birthday celebration. We had reservations and we're seated immediately in a lovely... corner room. The biggest delight of the evening was our server, a first year student at Dartmouth. He was asked to work althoughhe could have been moving into his dorm. That is dedication and/or an employee well respected. For our meal we decided onseafood fare of seafood casserole and Thai Curry Shrimp... yummy. Absolutely phenomenal, always wanted to try this place since I've seen it a few years back on Phantom Gourmet. Definitely did... not disappoint!!! Restaurant was very nice and appealing. staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. And thefood was great!!! If you have not I highly recommend stopping by and giving it a try it is definitely worth the time and I'msure will not disappoint. The crab dip is absolutely to die for!! Read more
What a beautiful restaurant. Great service and drinks. I tried the Summer of 2022 special menu, Shrimp Po boy sandwich. Sadly it... was served on a way to small brioche hot dog sized but making it very difficult to actually eat as a sandwich. Just a littleconstructive criticism and the Shrimp ???? tasted great as were the fries. The five stars go toward the overall success of theestablishment. I look forward to returning. Read more
Clean: 10 Hostesss: 10 Waiter: 10 Entrees: 8 Appetizers: 8. 5 Desserts: 5 Price: 8 Overall 8.5 Everyone knows the copper door,... when you ask a friend for a good restaurant to take there significant other this is one of the restaurant they usually suggest,for good reason. Before you are even seated you feel embraced by the overall sensation of the restaurant, music's playing,people are laughing. It walks a fine line between casual and high end eatery. The appetizers were more enjoyable then areentrees but not by much, the meatloaf was delicious as was the beat salad. It felt like I was in a trance until I took a bit outof my dessert, instantly I was no longer looking through rose lenses, it was INCREDIBLY sweet, you couldn't taste any otherelement of the dish. Always a great experience at the Copper Door. Friendly attentive wait staff and excellent food and apps. Great cocktail/drink... menu as well. They have a monthly rotating cocktail and cupcake which are always delicious. On weekends, make sure you make areservation or expect to wait. That said, if you do end up waiting, it's well worth it. Went here recently for my big bday celebration with my family and just wow. This place NEVER disappoints. The atmosphere was... lively, everyone there was having a great time and the food was to die for. I had the beef tenderloin and it nearly melted in mymouth. My sister had the haddock and it was so delicious and flavorful. They surprised me with a birthday cupcake which bayhave been one of the best I?ve had. This place is always mobbed but it has a solid turn. I've waited maybe 40 min max and it's always worth it. This is my first... date go-to. Maybe I'm terrible or maybe I like this place so much I sabotage things.... That aside you get great drinks,amazing food and a comfortable environment where you can chat and it's relaxed enough to sit and finish that bottle of champagneat the relaxed pace.
