This is one of the best Sushi places in Halifax! Being Vegetarian and with limited options to try Sushi makes it quiet... difficult... But Sushi Nami Royale has many items to enjoy around being a Vegetarian. Maybe it was because I came at the end of the day but the quality of the food was not as high quality as I was expecting and I... would really question the value you're getting for the prices being charged. However the service I was received was good. Iordered sweet potato croquettes and the assorted sashimi dinner which came with a miso soup and house salad. The miso soupseemed to lack enough dashi. It seemed more like basic chicken stock that they dumped a whole wad of miso paste into. The saladwas alright. The outside of the croquettes had a thin layer of crispiness that was almost barely there and the inside was waytoo mushy that it could barely hold its form when picked up. Most of the pieces of sashimi tasted like they had just beendefrosted after being frozen for a while. The tuna and albacore tasted almost powdery in texture and had no chewiness that Iwould normally expect out of thick slices like the ones provided. The only redeeming pieces were the butterfish which are hardto mess up anyways. Overall, a little disappointed with the food and would not recommend this chain if you're looking for highquality sushi/sashimi. Read more

Today my wife and I went for a leisure drive and decided to try this restaurant. Waitress came over and gave us the menus and... came back 5 minutes later and ask us for our order. When she ask me what I would like to order, I ask for the chicken stir fryand then ask her was it spicy. At first she said no ,then said alittle, then I ask her again is it spicey . Her reply to me was how many times do I have to tell you. I just look at her and she went and did something else and we left. Disrepect inrestaurants is not nesscessary especially when restaurant are hurting for business and need workers. Yes we decided to try arestaurant that gave us lots of respect. Paul Read more
After leaving the restaurant, I have to say the staff here is not really professional specially while you were still eating they... were cleaning up your table at the same time. The owner had a unfriendly talking with other staff at the restaurant. On theother hand, food here is not bad, sashimi is worth to try with being sliced nicely. Read more
