We've been here a few times now and have never been disappointed. As soon as you walk in, it's easy to be captivated by the old... fashioned diner vibe! The food is always on point, and their milkshakes... Well, they speak for themselves. Read more

It was a nice retro sort of spot to eat at. My mom and I loved it, they serve milk shakes and ice cream floats, but if you are... lactose-intolerant they do not have any Lactose free ice cream for that. They do have almond milk though for tea and coffeelovers. The food was great! There is also a trail right on the side of the parking lot by the Sackville River for a walk if youwant after you eat. We thought we would try a new place for brunch, so we went to True North Diner in Bedford Place Mall. It's funny how I have... lived in this area now for 6 years and have not heard of, or even noticed this place. I found it through Google reviews and I amglad I looked. The first thing you notice when walking in is the ambiance and decor. It's like taking a trip back in time tothe 50's/60's. They even have a huge bubble gum machine and an old school photo booth which you rarely see these days. They alsohave a projector set up that that they use to show old commercials on a large white screen that is high up where every one canwatch. Please note it is not currently operational but they are looking into getting it repaired. Our waitress (I didn't catchher name) and the service was great, and the food was fresh and served hot. I was feeling like brunch so I ordered a clubhouseand fries. My wife ordered the all day breakfast and my daughter ordered chicken fingers and fries. We ordered deep fried dillpickles and onion rings as appetizers just to try and see how they were. Both appetizers were delicious and probably one of ifnot the best deep fried dill pickles and onion rings that I have had to date. The clubhouse was made with real turkey and notthe processed sliced turkey which was great. I didn't ask but I believe their fries are home cut/fresh cut fries as they had theskin on them. My daughter (conosour of chicken fingers) said they were tender. My wife enjoyed her big breakfast as well. Theyalso serve Mother Parker's coffee which I enjoy as I drink my coffee black and it is not bitter. Overall our first visit wasgreat and we will be back to try some other items in the menu. Thank you for the wonderful food and experience ???????? Read more

This is one of my favourite restaurants. On this visit they were very busy. Apparently had a larger than expected group show up... which overworked the chefs causing service to be very slow. The chicken fajita burger was more than well done (not eaten) andwe were not charged for it. The waitresses were pleasant. We will go again. Any restaurant can have an off day. Read more
