I've been to a lot of BBQ places, but not many soul food BBQ places. It's very different from typical BBQ places. We ordered the... 2 Meat & 2 Sides plate (Rib Tips & Brisket, Potato Salad & Coleslaw), Pulled Pork Sandwich, Mac & Cheese, and Collard Greens.Although their prices have gone up from what the menu shows, they give you a lot of food. First time trying rib tips and theywere good with fat still on them. I liked the brisket. My favorite side was the potato salad. My family enjoyed their dishes, though the mac & cheese was "spicy" to my younger son due to the pepper. The place is pretty small with an outdoor deck, but Ididn't see any tables outside. The staff is pretty friendly. Good experience overall. Glad we tried it. Read more

Really more 3.5 stars. This place is good but has the potential to be great! More seating needed. Expansion . Food prices are up... there but the portions are very generous. Some bbq places that don’t trim their meats will do more chopping up, this placedidn’t really do a good job trimming the pork or brisket. It would have made the eating experience a lot better. Mac n cheeseoff the chain. The rib tips needed to cooked longer to be tender though. I would go back but probably request to have the meatchopped better . Read more

Overall the food is good; however, the greens & meat could have used some more seasoning. They have a nice menu selection. Being... from the Midwest, I'm always excited when I see Ribtips on the menu. I'll definitely eat here again. Read more

Sure, there are a lot of good BBQ and Soul food restaurants in DFW. But, few of them seem to put as much time and energy into... their food as Rosako’s. This is about the fourth time I’ve eaten at Rosako’s and it’s never let me down. Every sidefrom the Collard Greens to the Macaroni has been fantastic. The Rib Tips are amazing as are the sandwiches. The Specials areeven more delicious but they run out… and for a reason. It’s REAL hard to go wrong with this restaurant and doesn’t hurtthe owner and staff are friendly, helpful and fun guys who all seem to enjoy what they do. Love this place! Read more

So first and foremost this place hands down was one of the best BBQ places that I've dined at here in Texas. I've visited Texas... on a number of occasions often trying different BBQ and Soulfood, but this place is definitely in the top 3. I'm a very firmbeliever that the best food isn't at mainstream restaurants, but at "hole in a wall" establishments. This was one of thoseplaces! I spoke to the three gentlemen that were in the kitchen and explained that I came all the way from Virginia for somegood BBQ. They recommended the spare ribs. Since it was Thursday, they had a special going for ribs and 2 sides. That's exactlywhat I ordered. I also had them throw in some banana pudding for dessert. When they brought my food out to me, they had to havegiven me all of 3.5 pounds of food. It was enough for me to eat for lunch, dinner, and have some for the next day. But whattopped it off was the banana pudding. Here's a disclaimer, I'm not a violent man by any means, but I almost flipped that tableover, ran up to the counter and almost slapped the hell out of the man who made that banana pudding. When I say they made thatwith love, it was made with love. Hands down the best banana pudding that I've had. I saw the mixed reviews but had to try thisplace out for myself. It definitely didn't disappoint. Read more

Not too impressed with this place. Rib tips were a bit dry, greasy and tasted old. Brisket was cold with lots of gristle. The... BBQ sauce tasted as if store bought and gave the meat its flavor. Mac n cheese was dry but had a good flavor. Potato salad wasgood but a bit on the mustard-y side. We ordered the "I'm Hungry" Platter that feeds 2 to 3 but brisket was not included sincethey only sell it in 1/2 or 1lb so we had to add that ala-carte for $14.99 which resulted in a $54 bill. For the money we paid, would have been nice to have better options for utensils and plates. Everything was disposable and they only had Styrofoamto-go containers for plates. Only cans or bottles for drink. Don't think we would return. Read more

We went here today for the first time and the service as well as food was AMAZING! The food was fresh and delicious. The quality... and quantity of our meals were beyond belief. There is no way you could eat it all in one sitting without a nap! Lol We had rib& turkey tips ,mac &cheese, potato salad, and yams. We also had a stuffed baked potato with the most tender & tasty brisketthat was the size of a men's dress shoe!????(for real on the size) We highly recommend this place this little gem and willreturning again soon!!!
