Visiting family from out of state & our 1st time here. Everything from the moment we were seated was excellent. The appetizers,... cocktails & dinner were excellent! The chef was certainly on point as everyone's food was cooked to perfection! I heard a lot about Barrett's on the Pike but I have not been myself up until now. Hidden gem in the strip mall. The revolving... door set the tone for the dinner ahead (it's going to be great). We started out with the crab dip for an appetizer and it was sogood! Very creamy, and the small, buttery toasted pieces of bread to eat the crab dip with were just amazing! Decided on thePike Cheeseburger. Overall it was good. The bun was light and airy, and buttery. The hamburger was pretty solid, a large patty.The bacon could've been cooked just a tad longer (prefer crisper bacon), but still good. The Mango & Mandarin Salad was verygood! Lastly, the Creme Brulee was ridiculously tasty! It was honestly too rich for one person. Still an amazing dessert! Thereare a lot of items on the menu that I wanted so I'll definitely be back! We attended a wedding rehearsal dinner here on 6/23 and it was phenomenal! We had the crab cakes and filet as our entrées,... bacon wrapped scallops, an amazing Caesar salad and decadent desserts, a flourless chocolate cake and a fresh berries Napoleon.The crab cakes were some of the best I have ever tasted. Our servers were excellent, as well. Courteous, friendly and attentive.They were hustling all evening. So good, I travelled 3600 miles to make a return visit! Well, not really, but I did go here for a second time on my trip from... the UK back to the US, this time for brunch. Service was superb, staff friendly and engaging, making me feel like I was theironly customer in a lively and busy restaurant. Classic Eggs Benedict was awesome. Parking no problem right outside. Service was good. It wasn't crowded so seating was not a problem. The drink that I had was way too sweet for my tastes (New... Fashioned), could not finish it. But I could see where it could satisfy another person's palate. The Shrimp Cargot was good,lots of butter though. The Mahi was excellent, I will definitely get that again. The dessert I chose was Drunken Bananas. Basically it's a cinnamon roll with ice-cream, banana, and a bourbon sauce. It was good but I didn't taste any bourbon at all. I never been to Barrett’s before, I decided to get my lunch from there for work. I am trying to make better food choices so I... wanted something healthy. I went with the strawberry field salad but with kale… it was sooooo delicious to me. It was perfect.It reminds be of a good summer day lol so light, fresh and delicious. My sister picked Barrett's for her rehearsal dinner after several amazing brunch experiences together. She reserved the cobalt... room for a large party, the private dining menu was fantastic. This place is beyond amazing. I would highly recommend them forregular or private event dining. The food is all impeccable. Read more
