I am from Thailand and be here for the first time. The place and foods are awesome. I finished lunch and left but I dropped my... wallet there. After an hour I came back to ask for my wallet maybe someone found it. The food was lukewarm, not smokin hot. It was good, though. I had meatloaf with mash n gravy and turnip greens. Mty folks said... that their food was not hot, neither. So, this location needs to make sure they are serving the food hot. The novelty shop wasnice! Read more
When we walked in we were greeted with a smile. Even our waitress was amazing and very attentive! They were very busy but she... still gave us time to order. I ordered the catfish dinner, my husband ordered the shrimp dinner and my daughter ordered thesteak burger dinner. All of the food was great. If you dine in here, be prepared to spend a few hours. The first hour was spent waiting for a table, fortunately the retail area... was entertaining so we didn't really notice. Once we were seated, it took over two hours for us to receive our entres -- mypartner's steak was cooked perfectly, but mine was a hockey puck (ordered medium-well, came out grey); my eggs also were burnt.The grits were watery and bland. The sausage gravy tastes greasy, but the beef gravy isn't bad. The manager compensated us witha free dessert. Good service, not very good cooking, very very long wait. Probably won't be back.
