Excellent food. We got the fried haddock basket with tater tots and a salad. The haddock was a delightful, moist, tender fish... with perfectly crispy edges. The tater tots may have been the best tots of my life....?! We also enjoyed the haddock chowder,which tasted homemade, as advertised. The fried scallops were also divine: tender, well-prepared, no grit, no sand, not at allrubbery. The rice pilaf side was thoughtfully prepared, which was a pleasant surprise! I cannot recommend this place enough. Wedecided to take dessert to go, so I may be updating this review to sing the praises of their peanut butter pie, chocolate fudgecake, and chocolate cream pie. Stopped in for a bite. Service was mediocre at best, my French fries weren't long enough to dip them in anything and they were... three different colors which me being a cook, means that they weren't fresh....at all. My buffalo chicken wrap had an enormouspuddle of buffalo sauce right in the middle of it, making it at least for me inedible. I looked at the reviews before going andthey were positive. Our first time experience was a wonderful experience. Stopped in after being on the road and we were not disappointed. We loved... the ambience of the pub. So pleasant and inviting. Stopped here for lunch on a whim. SO GLAD that we did. Friendly staff and fun decor. Front st Pub burger is the BEST burger... I've tasted in a long time. Savory and full of flavor!
