Not the best Mexican food I've had, but it was good. I find it ridiculous that if an adult orders a child plate for themselves... they pay $3 extra. Kid sized serving, adult price. What sense does that make? Our sever was sweet, and the flan wasexcellent. Read more
As a Mexican this food was bad and the service was not much better. It took 45 mins to serve us, which is fine, but took an... additional 15 mins just for the server to ask us for drinks: on a slow day! The beans were over salted, the carne asada wasbland. The shrimp cocktail tasted like tomato soup, the shrimp tacos had max three pieces- of the small shrimp, not the largeshrimp. I ordered a grilled cheese for the kids; just see the picture. $3 surcharge if you share a bite with yourfriend/partner. Surcharge for large parties. Which wasn?t disclosed to us until the end. The salsa on the table had no flavor.This place is only surviving because of tourists that don?t know better. Please stay away. Read more
Real score 4.1 Service was great! Loved the choice in salsas. Shredded beef burrito was slightly above average. I also had... shredded beef tamale.. (just glad it was available in beef). If you want authentic, or even close to authentic, this is not the place. The portions are great the flavor not so much., the... rice has no seasoning at all, the fajita plate I ordered was bland. I love mexican food, but people need to understand that just because the Name, the waiter and the cook are mexican, doesn't mean... the food is going to be good! I ordered a tortilla soup and it literally tasted like hot water, no salt no chicken broth noflavor at all, just water with pieces of tortilla and avocado floating in it. The al carbon tacos were decent compared to thesoup but I had to eat tacos with a fork since the tortillas disintegrated as soon as I picked up my tacos. Pretty darn good! I am from San Diego so I am very picky, this style restaurant is pretty typical in parts of San Diego and we... would call it Traditional Mexican food. I am more of a taco shop girl, but sometimes it?s nice to get the full experience! Gocheck this place out, it?s also extremely affordable at lunchtime! Read more
